Comment. Which, if you look at the first person who replied to me only seemed to have focused on, even AFTER I had already pointed out that we are not discussing a single game in the franchise.

GT has a loyal following that dates back to the origninal GT on the PS1. With ZERO competition on the market up until Forza on teh original xbox was released GT was the only game to buy that was the closest thing to a sim on consoles.

GT has only sold 6 million simply becuase of it's loyal fanbase (majority in Europe) that has expanded over 3 generations.

That fanbase would have bought the game even if it was the worst (and is rated the worst) GT gam...

I agree. GT5 and Need for Speed are awesome arcade racers.

So far the Gears of War franchise has a higher sales AND meta for this generation over Uncharted.

Uncharted 1 was no where near as good/polished as Uncharted 2.

I guess Quality over Quantity no longer holds meaning to the PS3 only crowd on this site. I am pretty sure not too long ago a certain fanbase on this site was saying Quality over Quantity, now all of a sudden it's Quantity over Quality. Typical hypocrisy mentality of a certain group of people on this site.

Kinect has already shown that it has some great games for the family. This has been proven not just by reviews, but more importantly by sales.

PS3 users have more "options". I wouldn't go so far as say "enjoy" seeing as to some of the titles being less than enjoyable and yet being exclusive. ie. SOCOM 4

Uncharted's story's are seperated between games. Gears is 1 long continous story.

Not really a fair comparison. Uncharted is only a franchise based on new adventures, each with a different story but expanding on character development. Gears is a franchise that takes place in a univers of 1 continous story with sub plots in each game for character development.

It's like comparing Indiana Jones to Star Wars. 1 has stories based on each itter...

Exclusives give a console an identity and vise versa. But exclusives are meaningless if they are not good. Sure they can offer more "choice" in a game library, and choice/options are always good, but a bad exclusive is still a bad exclusive which nobody will buy thus generate nothing but a bad identity, towards itself and the console it's on.

I understand what you are saying, but it still makes no sense to call Mass Effect or Limbo "exclusive". Yes they were "exclusive" to the PS3 for the year 2011, but they were already out on the 360. So how can you add Mass Effect 2 and Limbo as "exclusive" simply because it's out a year later on the PS3? It's not like Mass Effect 2 or Limbo are giving the PS3 game library 2 more exclusive games than the 360 because those game...

So, they only thing we got to really see is that Battlefield 3 will be on 360 (duh) and a piece of gameplay in an area that we haven't seen.

I want to see some footage of a FINISHED game. I don't care about pre-alpha gameplay with little to no textures. It's like looking at a painting that isn't done ...

Those GOTY awards for Uncharted 2 are only significant for 2009. It was compared to games that were released in THAT particular year. Had Halo 3, Bioshock, Read Dead Redemption, GTA IV, Mass Effect...etc all released in the same year as Uncharted 2, the number of GOTY awards may have been a lost less.

I will take the Quality of the limited exclusives on the 360 any day over the mass Quantity of average exclusive games on the PS3.

I have to agree with mendicant. It's great that RAmar101 is such a big fan of the game, but the degree of how great the Resistance franchise is only goes as far as RAmar101's opinion. There are much better games and franchises on both the PS3 and 360 for 360 only owner's to actually care for the Resistance franchise.

Had it been Uncharted then I could understand. But Resistance isn't Uncharted, nor is it even Killzone. I think mendic...

If people really wanted those games, they would have bought them regardless of what else was coming out.

Wasn't Resistance 1 a launch title? When for a whole year and so there was nothing else to pick from? Wasn't Resistance 1 also bundled?

Once people played Resistance 1....how well did the rest of the franchise do?

Once a child becomes a Zombie, there is no more child. A Zombie is NOT a living thing. It's like asking, is it ok to kill a dead child? Once the Zombie virus has taken over the child, the child is dead. There is no "child" left, just a walking corps. The corps may be in a younger body than say an adults body, but it's still just a body with no soul.
