I dont beleive this rumour at all.
BUT! I could believe 900p as a target.
Nintendo talked about releasing game simultaneously on both handhelds and consoles in a recent investors meeting. 900p is a compromise between the highres of a console and the traditional low res of a handheld.
If they plan on making the NX a device that is essentialy the same whether you use it as a console or a handheld they need to pick standards that are acheivable with ha...
If you get a score over 9300 on 3D marks FireStrike test (which is included in the free demo) you will be able to run Oculus Rift stuff 'well enough'.
Obviously you need to be able to run games at ~1600*1200@ 90fps to meet the Oculus panels default resolution and refresh rate.
Sakura Wars on the Wii had a great relationship system where you had only 20 seconds to choose your answer and the options usually required you to remember things like the girls hates/likes, temperament and personality traits.
EG: dont make aggressive sounding statements to the timid girl. Suggest outdoor type events to the girl who grew up on a farm.
@Bimkoblerutso
That has never happened to my knowledge. Care to elaborate or include a citation?
I LOVE the choice of image for this post. A tip of my hat to the joke.
This is the exact same move Nintendo took with the DSi last gen... remember how many DSi only titles there were? Remember how the DS stopped getting games?
Thats right! It didnt happen. They were all backwards compatible.
It is so incredibly hilarious to me how everyone cries about his character design. There is nothing massively wrong with it, its no more ridiculous than any other video game character design.
Long time Sonic fans just like to cry because its different.
Long time Sonic fans are the exact demographic Sega doesnt give a **** about anymore. The show, the game. All made for kids. If your old enough to be posting on message boards; they arent making this for you. ...
Yeah I am all for a sequel. I have thoroughly enjoyed Bravely Default. But I dunno if Id be up for 'yearly installments' as the developer has said they would love to do.
It's fine to outgrow Nintendo's own style of game. Just as its okay to only watch action movies or listen to rap. Nothing wrong with that.
I myself find that I'm bored with Pokemon and Mario, though still thoroughly enjoying Metroid, Fire Emblem and (some) Zelda's. I enjoy the other games that are on the wii/U/ 3/DS. Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower were all amazing titles. I am really looking forward to Bravely Default.
I bought a PS3 for its exclusives, HD collections and its Media functionality.
If a multi-plat is released and its not on the wiiU. I dont buy it. end story.
This doesnt appear to bother publishers though... :P
Aww man... I have been waiting for this since the wiiU was announced. Jesus this company likes to take their time with some things.
Its almost more of an action game than a JRPG. It has these huge magnificent maps that go on forever. I personally could hardly believe the game was possible on the Wii.
The characters are great and the story is epic. The game takes ATLEAST 70 hours to finish and has well over 200hours of content.
I still laugh when I think of Heropon Rikki's lines.
Thats because Nintendo is the publisher in every other region and they are required to keep the game in stock.
In America Gamestop signed some kind of contract with Nintendo for a distribution deal. Which they are now abusing.
Despite the region lock, I believe you are missing out on a good experience. It must be awfully important to you.
3rd Parties havent abandoned it entirely yet. They have scaled back their investment until the sales grow.
I think that if the wiiU does well this holiday seasons everything will be peachy. Otherwise, even I- a hardcore Nintendo fan will be feeling rather nervous for the future of the system.
Nintendo dont do annual releases...
Isnt it Pokemon Rumble Wii U?
its the same strategy they pulled with the wii. Release a console that doesnt use state of the art technology in order to maximize profits.
Even if Nintendo sells only 30million WiiU's at a profit, thats still better than Microsoft selling 60 million Xbox's at a loss.
Ofcourse you can argue that a more popular console will make back that loss due to more software releases...
Its actually a decent strategy from a business perspective. Doesn't necessarily benefit the consumer though.
While eating a cake? ;)
