No one from MSFT has said they're trying to take on Netflix. Game consoles were already big on digital video before Netflix found video more appealing to consumers than their movies in mail method.
MSFT's services compete with services like VuDu, Hulu in a type of hybrid system called Xbox Originals. Xbox Originals is nothing like Netflix and I don't know why anyone would say that when there is no proof MSFT will offer 3rd party content with the service.

Both consoles have advantages but what you rabid/crazy fanboys perceive as "PS4 potential" compared to the XB1 is nothing more than underdeveloped XB1 dev tools.
Not saying PS4 won't pull ahead later on with its local hardware but right now with launch window games the difference in games is not because PS4 is untouchable.
Anyways by the time PS4 naturally pulls away from XB1 on the local hardware side the XB1 will be using advanced software and...

I think they know what MSFT is saying they're being selectively stupid to attack MSFT's design. Everybody knows the remote processing will give the XB1 the equivalent of being 3 times more capable. Some of the processing will be done by powerful super servers.

Is that a joke? Cloud tech is designed to destroy console hardware performance. DX12 dev tools will help XB1 compete on the traditional hardware front with PS4, cloud compute and DX12 together will be like a new generation of hardware.

MSFT said PC gamers and some other folks will be able to download/buy it in 2015. That doesn't mean Some 3rd party and 1st party devs are not using it on XB1 now. DX12 was also announced to release in preview this year(XB1 already has parts of DX12 in it)
