Why? I got my money's worth....and I am not ever selling it. I made that mistake with the Gamecube. I'm keeping my Nintendo products from here on.
I agree on the price being affordable. If it was only $249, man I would buy every good launch game with it....and that is what they really want, to sell software. We will see. My guess is the standard, no game package $299.
A Mini Gamecube would be so awesome.
Because it's a major hit with the gaming community. Look at it, it's awesome. I can't believe Nintendo made it (of course I can because Nintendo rocks) but I mean modern day Nintendo making a console that looks like good old days Nintendo hardware. hahaha
I gotta have the SNES and Gamecube! Please make it that special purple color the Gamecube was.....
Nintendo is about to collect on this console. Wii U 2.0 is out the door by the fact it has nothing to do with Wii branding. This is what core gamers want (I read comments everywhere and it's 75% positive for Switch). Gamers who haven't touched a Nintendo anything since Gamecube or even N64 are coming out the woodworks. The design and use is too good and versatile to flop. Will is sell 100 million? Most likely NOT. Will it outsell Wii U, are you kidding me? YES! LMAO

The tablet is the processing hardware. At least that is what IGN is reporting. You do have the option of using a Joy-Grip or Pro Controller and never touching the "tablet".....just let it sit in the dock forever and it will be just like a traditional console...lol
A good solid full 7 hour battery life is all I ask.....or demand. lol
I know the games will be good to awesome. Price will be around $299. Nintendo isn't stupid. Do you think games will be $60 since they are on tiny cartridges? If they are $49.99, then that would rock! But I doubt it. The design of this console is on-point so they never need a "slim" or other version. I see this console selling better than N64, on par with NES. It's launching with the pot...
Don't speak for all Wii U owners. I am a Nintendo fan first and foremost and I will buy Zelda on Switch. I love the idea of having a game that big a tiny little cartridge. I also want to play it any chance I get whether at home or anywhere else. As far as third party, Nintendo Switch will get the most solid support a Nintendo console has had since Gamecube. I say solid support by means of QUALITY games. As long as the "ports" look clean and play well...I don't mind if they d...
I don't need Michael Pachter or anyone to predict the year one sales of Nintendo Switch. I can't speak for year 2 but year 1 will be huge (especially in comparison to year one for Wii U). Why? Zelda. Since Wii U software won't play on Switch (at least physical for now, we will see how digital Wii U software plays out) it's obvious many Zelda fans will buy the Switch version. This will be a huge boost for Switch sales as this Zelda will most likely be critically acclaimed and s...
Well Nintendo went and made Zelda about to boost Nintendo Switch sales through the roof. As a Wii U owner, I will buy it on Switch now that it isn't BC with taking it on the go. The console is so thin I would assume if it were BC with Wii U software it would look fat in comparison to the way it looks now.
Now if they confirm that the digital Wii U software is able to transfer then that would be awesome for digital Wii U software owners.
Hopefully Square brings Kingdom Hearts 3 and Dragon Quest 11 to the Switch. Final Fantasy 15 might be a timed exclusive with PS4. But Final Fantasy 7 re-master might have a chance. Take-two should bring Grand Theft Auto 5 (with some exclusive portable features)... Red Dead Redemption 2 and Bully 2 (if it's being made). Capcom should port Resident Evil 7 and make a new Viewtiful Joe for the Switch. I would buy everything I just listed if it was on the NS.
I just visited ...
There has been plenty of extra small details in the past day that Nintendo has shared. The gaming press will squeeze more information out before 2017. Things will get leaks because hardware/marketing/software/pr e-orders must get shipped around the world before March 2017. Someone will know something and leak it. The cat is out the bag, now get ready for the most speculation you have ever heard about Switch aka the NX....lol
Because every other 3D console from Nintendo has been popular. N64 (successful and popular), Gamecube (not so much), Wii (huge success, wildly popular), Wii U (not so much)..... now it's NS' turn to be (successful and wildly popular) . :)
Yeah, but you know how the gaming media works. We will learn A LOT more before 2017. There is no way the press won't fight more information to share. Just today, Nintendo themselves have spilled more details. Incoming news....
As a proud Wii U owner, I agree.
In another article I got confused by thinking the "Joy-Grip" was the "Pro Controller". The Joy-Grip can be set up like a traditional controller by placing Joy-Cons on it. I love the look of it by the way. There is a separate Nintendo Switch version of the "pro controller" that will obviously be sold separate from the console. It is also in question of whether or not the Joy-Grip accessory is included with the console but to me it seems likely.
That would be so awesome.
It doesn't need a d-pad. I'd rather have more buttons. I never use the d-pad on home consoles...and rarely the 3DS. Tight controls solve this.
I have read 75% positive comments on Gamespot, IGN, Youtube (the actual reveal video has like 90% positive comments), Eurogamer, etc. I agree with you... for me, Nintendo consoles always are pick up and play while the others are "if I feel like it"....this console makes that fact for me even greater. The versatility looks amazing.
