A game that makes you work harder for it's greatness shoudn't be penalized when it's a massive world like BOTW. That made games of the past satisfying instead of the hand holding many AAA games do these days.

I still play my Gamecube games (including some of the third party titles that were great) while all my friends whole heartedly sold their original xbox ages ago. I could care less about xbox sales. The games are average to me.
