We just got an email from our head office and it seems the update caused the problem, this is official and Ubi si aware of the problem. Ubi is working on it and a fix is incoming. We where advised to tell our customers not to take the update for now.

if you are getting it today, I would suggest you just play it offline for now, refuse the update. it seems to be causing the problem, at least thats what me and a few of my customers have noticed. I played 2 hours this weekend with no problem, the update was released today.

not trying to sugar coat this short single player campaign, but this is an industry norm latetly, all my favorite games last year are all sub 15hr single player games, this is a new low.

I am ejoying splinter cell conviction up until now, I am about 2 hours in and its great however I am also very dissapointed if it is infact just a 5 hour single player campaign. Like GoW3, this game is fun as hell, to bad they are short.
