Am I wrong to assume that asking for hype is in effect...creating hype?

So in your perfect world, people should only buy games new, all the time, and keep them. With no other options right? Does your theory apply to toasters, cars and guitars? Should someone who resells his guitar send a check to the guys who hand built it? I can`t agree with that. I know you think its wrong, but you just don`t see the bigger picture and your argument reeks of generalizations and stereotype.

And I do face it dude, every day, you are wrong, deal.

keep on diggin that hole the hater.

question, you think that the rental copy just appears at our door in the mouth of a stork?

Its a business, that is part of the videogames industry, and has helped our beloved industry grow, it creates jobs, makes people play game they cant afford at the moment, exposes the product dev worked so hard to make...

And you say we are slow? wow.

It was like that a while ago with VHS tapes here in NA, but that has changed. The rental industry is much more devolopped here then in europe, so, dunno what to say, I would assume the rental companies in sweden don`t have as much pull as we do here. All I can tell you is that here we do not pay more, not for about 10 years now, DvD`s changed the whole rental industry here.

nackno, sorry to tell you but rental copies do not cost more. We buy new games at cost and put them out to rent. Same for movies, infact on movies the studios give us deals, then again rental places are among the biggest customers, not everyone that buys 3600 copies of the blind side.

Its in their interest to have people watching and talking about their movies, just like games. Its in the game makers interest to have people trying and talking about their games also, most of th...

yeah the hater, you have no idea what you are talking about, comparing rentals and the used game market to pirating shows it. I have a rental and used game store, you know how many games I buy a year to rent? Nest thing you will suggest that renting movies is bad also?

fail.

This has to stop, N4G is not here to announce to the world that a certain game is now available to download. This kinds of stories should never be allowed on the front page.

5915d ago 10 agree5 disagreeView comment

and the best news! and NPD news piece did not surpase 600 degree almost 20 hours in.

These articles bring out the stupidest in people on N4G. Every month all I see is an industry doing great with so many consoles on the market and every one of them is viable and making money, 10 years ago we where debating if the market can support 3 home based consoles, now not only is this a fact, but all three are thriving. Thats the best news, not the spin some people do to favor X console ...

I really enjoyed Too Human, in fact, I probably played that game more then Uncharted 2, GoW 3 and Mass Effect, combined. And I love all four games I just named.

then again, who the f*ck am I. Just an shlub who likes video games and hates people's knee jerk, wagon hoping opinions about them.

well, I will invalidate peoples opinions if I want to, and the guy that wrote this crap has an invalid opinion, in my opinion.

Anyone who thinks of the head line first, and the story second....fails.

not only is the list crap, but it made me realize that anyone can publish articles now a days, and it breaks my heart.

Red dead redemption`s free roam is epic multiplayer sandbox erathaol, and yes the multiplayer makes it, imho, the best sandbox game, or at least, it seems like it, we will only know for sure once we play it.

I think its more what Red Dead revolver should of been. I remeber playing GuN after Red Dead Revolver and I kept thinking to myself, if only Gun had Red Dead`s atmosphere.

Now I think we finally got it, a great open world Western, with the spagetti western feel, it catn come soon enough for me.

I don`t get it, how can a company, Sony, which has total assets of over 100 billion dollars, be smaller then nintendo, a company that has 19 billion dollars in assets. sony employs 180k people, and Nintendo emplys 4k...

Sony is bigger.

that chart clearly compared Sony`s gaming division to nintendo. If I am wrong though, I would love to be corrected.

I hear ya Icy, I work with gamers everyday and I know many of my customers that really enjoyed GTA4, I just don`t like the general concensus on the internet that GTA4, or many other games for that matter are bad, when in fact they are good games, that some people found dissapointing, but others really enjoy.

I am in a weird spot for pokemon, I was 20 when it hit the shelves, so for me, it has always been a kid thing. Now, many of the kids that grew up with it are adults, and new kids are discovering Pokemon everyday, like you did.

5916d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

yeah you are right, I should not of come of so hard.

In the end I am just happy more and more people are discovering something I have loved since I was a kid, and I am 31 now so for me, this has been common knowledge.
