I would love a sequel to any of these great SCE rpg classics.
Final Fantasy was huge, it save square soft. I thas been a hit since day one. Much like CoD, if you where a PC gamer, trust me, CoD was a hit when it came out.
Sony already tried to do this, many times, I am suprised so many people here are not aware of sony's past attempt at Jrpg, there are quite a few infact.
which means some people will like it, and other wont. Having done the intro last night, this game is pretty solid in my books. It is a good game.

But lets face it here, it is kind odd that out of nowhere they talk about this game, a few days after announcing they will be making a new game. If this is their new game, I wonder if like Silicon Knights people will say they have been making this game for the last 8 years, rofl.
I am curious edge of blade, how old where you when you first played Chrono Trigger? And keeping that in mind, imagine you where 12 kid, and you where picking up FF13 as your first square soft game, would you be so critical on it as many seem to be today?
We have to stop comparing current games to our first games we fell in love with, no game will ever be better then those games. ever.

I know a guy that works at local game dev, they received a Nintendo Wii Dev kit witch has specs that resemble the PS3 and 360. If nintendo do not announce it at E3, I promise you it will come eventually.

You are correct, square soft was never exclussive. however It just so happened that for 10 years, before FF7 came out, 85% of their games where on the Famicon/NES and Super Famicon/Snes. Save a few personal computer and MSX games.

The CHL is one thing, but the NCAA also? NHL 11 will be huge! Then again, every new EA sports NHL is huge here in MTL, but with all the players and franchises from the CHL and the NCAA, this will make one for the books!

the biggest one in my books was when square went to sony after sony sold them on cheaper mediums and more money. Square truly changed their Allegiance after making games, for years only on Nintendos previous 2 consoles. I do think nintendo is to blame though since the N64 should nto of been cartidge based, however it was also a sign that Square was about the money, something we saw repeat when they went multiplat with Final Fantasy.

Sony themselves Blaze, or at least what the rep told me. Their reps have been going around showing off move to retailers and they have clearly stated in these meetings that move will be handled like a hardware launch. It is not a new console, but it will be handled like a hardware launch. I saw this and heard this first hand from sony reps who had a PS3 dev kit and a few move wands. I am not inventing this.

I expect Blizz will announce their new game at blizzcon. Because besides the launch date of Diablo 3 and Cataclysm, which they could just announce on their front page at any day like they did with SC2, they got nothing else for blizzcon. The new game announcment at this years blizzcon is almost assured. And yes, maybe my grandkids will get a chance to play it.

after reading that PC gaming is dead for the last 20 years, PC gaming has always proven to be a major player.
we have not been playing the same game. I have had next to zero lag.

Yakuza is a perfect comparison actually. It seems that the same people who would praise Yakuza will knock down this game for some reason.
