Explain to me how if there were a monopoly on consoles, they'd be any cheaper? I'm just not happy bowing to one company who isn't fighting tooth and nail everyday to stay ahead of the competition, creative and profit wise.
I noticed when I first got my 360 last November, that when I load a game from the dashboard with the game already being in the drive, the game runs a little slower, and the 360 makes more noise trying to read the disc. As long as I from the dashboard, eject the game and reinsert it, runs smooth 100%. I take my 360 back and fourth when I go home for holidays, granted I carry it in a laptop case. No RROD, five year warranty anyway.
Not that RROD isnt an issue, but lately is soul...

We know from many developers the cost to develop on the PS3 is more that development of an equivalent Xbox 360 game. Your a CEO of a game company, looking at these number where do you place your bet if your looking at a couple of years to develop?
And before you say well the 360 has a headstart, these companies are "placing their bets" now for a release when both cons...

There's no risk for them, millions will not stop drinking dew cause gamespot is whacked. I knew something was up with them, first the R&C was way under-reviewed (and i'm a xbox loyal and i thought it was way low) and then Mass Effect...at least the community stood by and is calling them on it.

The defense will simply have to bring a 360, and Halo 3 in thier retail boxes, and boot it up. If it runs, case dismissed. The language they use saying basically all Halo 3 discs do not run in any 360 is a big loser for him. I dont mean to sound like a crybaby, but R&C, Uncharted, ME all great games that deserve great scores, well over 9.0. And yet SMG gets 9.5 cause they made a 2d game 3d, pretty much. I'm not trying to bash SMG i'm just saying what about it compared to these above titles is revolutionary. Rabbid fanboyism is no longer an excuse to me from Gamespot. Just flat out un-trustworthy, and its sad.
But if its "so dis-heartening" for him to read people happy about loosing its job, it just may because you SUCKED at your job. Bad ports, buggy gameplay, few feature upgrades in sequeled titles. Granted Ace Combat is just one title, but it was #2 in total sales for Japan last week, Xbox hasn't seen 17K in Japan since around launch I think, and this being Sony's stronghold in question after the price cut cannot look good from an overall view.
