@DiceAndRice if it suffers even a little bit at launch, this service is going to lose 3rd party support and die fast
Yeah if these where the 90s. Now and days kids just wanna play games and the way the world is set, games are available on a plethora of platforms. It's a handheld, big deal, I know I wouldn't care if the ps4 had a portable version.. I spend too much time occupied to be able to play.
You know I i actually do like to hear the chime and see the trophy when I get one. Don't need to show my girlfriend it but it is always fun to look at my friend's trophies, when were waiting on a lobby, it adds more than it takes away.
@MatrixxGT You must have no level of reading comprehension, that or you either hyperbole anything that doesn't align with your ideas. What is implied is that the writing is on the wall, Microsoft is slowly backing out of the hardware side of the gamine world, but they seem to be backing out in the game side as well. It seems they want their Xbox division to be more of a service type platform by what they are doing. Scorpio to me is just gone be used as the catalyst of that "service&q...
Ummm the new chip sets and GPU are the reasoning behind the increase in price, I truly doubt your estimations to be even remotely close
I just don't understand how people can be excited about it as much as you are. If it's really that different of a console, then One users are going to be screwed over as new games will be dynamically more of an improvement then PS4 V Pro are. Another thing and I don't see how this one gets swept under the rug so easily, is that there hasn't even been any truly groundbreaking game/games announced for it.. This sounds like a steam console..
He mentioned Kinectimals .... Lmao are you serious
You forgot that spider man game that's coming exclusively to PlayStation.. You know the one developed by insomniac a Sony 2nd party studio..
People on here don't ever see the real world. I mention time and time again how Nintendo's dominance is at risk because of Mobil phone games and they pass me off as ignorant. They fail to see that parents (the ones that but things for their kids) seem to prefer to just give their kids one device that fits all.. That is why I'm certain that the switch will fall. It'll start off strong but buy the next holiday season, sails would have plateaued by then
Umm what does your reply even mean? Last I checked EA has plenty of games available for smartphones. Hey I'm with you, I don't see phones as direct competition to gaming, but the real world and data don't back up that narrative. Whether you like it or not, the Mobil games space eats away to the handheld gaming market.
I hate to sound old, but these are the reasons I haven enjoyed this generation. I get games that feel half-hearted and flat and I am expected to pay more on top of it to get the "complete" experience. This is the result of paying for horse armour and paying for maps a 12 years ago. I remember hearing people state that if you can't afford the add-ons you shouldn't even be playing games, and I always stated that that isn't the case, if we pay for this stuff now they'll...
And that's why people like you need to seriously learn how the world works. I play games, on my phone!!! And I know countless other people do too, how? I see them all the time at my college campus, those same fingers that are playing small Mobil games on their phones are fingers that are not on dedicated Mobil handhelds. Im by no way saying smart phone games are on par with a DS game but they are stealing from the same market.
And yet they'll pull assets and developers away from "real" gamers. Why can't some of to see that? This is a business, developers don't care if you're a real gamer or not, money will always have a louder voice
Because this article is using the term "millennials" as a stand in for "casual gamer"
Some people just refuse to understand. I've stated on here numerous times and each time I've been down voted, as if the truth is to harsh to bare. I'm not trying to troll I've just had a long exposure to the gaming world and I can tell you the modern smart phone makes any dedicated mobile gaming device obsolete, even one that can be docked. Why is that? Because you're not adding any type of functionality, this device is not going to replace your cell phone. Before I get a ...
I blame you, yeah you. The blind fanboy, the fanboy that defends their console of choice as if it was the one responsible for giving birth to them. I blame you for the state of gaming culture, where it's ok to pay full price for a game that's half done, where it's ok to pay more for "collectors" edition, where for a few more dollars you get a season "pass". The current state of gaming is gone replaced now by mid generation upgrades as exemplified but Nintendo, ...
At some point people only have themselves to blame. I always saw this game as the space equivalent to mine craft, but instead of being able to build any structure you'll be able to explore any planet. This I got from the very first trailer, I didn't see why so many people builded this game up to be more than that, even then the game is amazing but I know this type of game isn't for everyone.. Not many people liked the fact that in MineCraft their was no story or set objective, t...
@Utalkin2me it seems you don't get it, Nintendo's stock went down because investors assumed that they owned the Pokemon brand entirely, failing to notice that Nintendo only owns 32% of the brand, and that they don't generate much revenue from the mobile app. Just because you don't see your friends playing it doesn't count as a stat fact, I don't play the damn game but I can't go a day without seeing a herd of cars and people pass by a huge lake I live around huntin...
Just brand recognition is all and all the fanboys will boast about having a powerful console neglecting the fact that their exclusives are no longer exclusives. Sony and Microsoft can say that they wont leave any of their previous consoles behind but only ignorant fanboys will buy what they are selling us. Take what Phil Spencer just said at the end of the conference that all three: xboxone, OneS, and project scorpio will live along side each other without any sort of cannibalizing, but the m...
While you can watch the same shows in different TVs, the experience might not be the same. Sports, is a thing that is tangibly different on cheaper TV sets, and that's when the specs of a particular TV really shine.
