I don't understand how Gears is rated so highly, I will give the first game the credit it deserves as it was very fun, had a good story and the graphics (at the time) were very good. However the second game was meh, the story was average and had one of the worst endings/end bosses I have ever experienced and the online was broken.
Obviously this is my opinion but I want other games for my xbox, a new IP maybe? I think everyone can agree with that.
Killzone 2 was criticised because it wasn't like COD or Halo, but Killzone 3 is criticised for trying to be more adaptable and appeal to the Halo/COD fan base to bring in new players.

Exactly, i'm sure Bulletstorm is a very good game but the nitpicking and hate towards Killzone is ridiculously immature from some sites. And Im not saying the best reviews of Killzone are those who gave it a 9 or 10, If a reviewer can back up a 7 or 8 then I'm happy but at least be consistent.

Personally It annoys me that this guy is trying to put words and thoughts into my own head. When I buy a game I want the full game, not pay full price for half of the game then pay more later.
DLC is good for a game maybe 9-12 months after realise I think, to reinvigorate the game and create more sales, I think it's sensible and fair when companies do that.

I agree, but maybe not as long as 30 seconds. That would drive me crazy, time seems to slow down when your waiting to respawn.
Listen I'm not trying bash other shooters out their but the most popular FPS out there have used the same mechanics for the past number of years and none of these reviewers have a problem with it, in fact they praise that they stay the same without adding anything new.

I'm guessing they maybe got frustrated that Demon's Souls didn't sell as well as it should have, but that's because it got next to no advertising, it was word of mouth that helped people realise that it was a special game. So they thought they would put it on both PS3 and 360 to maximise sales.

Seems like whoever wrote this article has something against Sony in general =/.
Some questions are reasonable such as the overheating and the memory however the other questions seem like digs at Sony which isn't needed and makes the article really unprofessional.
Anyway, it pleases me that the mass majority of the media are enthusiastic about the device, including Sony who seem really proud of what they have created. No doubt this year and next are going ...

I agree I think the levelling system makes sense, considering that there are a lot of newbies to this series. It would be foolish for PD to make it insanely hard from the off go, it would put people of and be extremely overwhelming. I don't see why people are complaining, if your a long term fan your going to love it and play it so much that you would be competing with the higher levelled difficultly within a few days, whereas new players get a nice learning curve into a fabulous game ser...
Thats why i loved the PS2, even without any serious competition it still produced some of the best games known to gaming, I admire that they didn't get lazy and just bump you the prices and produce average games.
Now that Sony have got themselves together (first few years were kind of bumpy) I think the PS3 will continue to sell really well and also continue to produce must-have exclusives. Although realistically i don't think it will reach the dizzy heights of the PS...
Yeah CVG having been putting a lot of negative articles about GT5 in the last 24 hours, I don't see why they are so determined to try and beat down a great game. What do they get out of it, it's childish.
I find that a lot of the Japanese games actually acquire a certain amount of intelligence to play, also there is more effort put into their stories and gameplay which in my opinion makes them the most hardcore games out there.
