Try liberating yourself. Play a game for as long as you're comfortable doing so. If you don't like it, move on. If you're rushing a game to move onto the next then your just doing it wrong. Pace yourself. Enjoy it. The next game will be waiting for you

In real life you don't trek those routes back and forth on repeat to complete simple fetch quests either. Gaming is allowed certain liberties. This is one of them. Huge open maps are a waste of time and don't make a game more interesting

If the map design from previous games is anything to go by. The answer is too big!

Im sure that it sold enough to warrant its development and then some.
After all it was released on every platform it could find over the years. It was nearly as bad as Skyrim in that regards ha

UbiArts are dead so don't expect any small obscure titles from them again.

As it is I'm not looking forward to anything on their calendar. They took the least interesting thing they'd ever done with Rainbow 6 Siege and think releasing it as a full title is a good idea. I mean why wouldn't you? It worked out so well for Konami after all.

They need something fresh that doesn't just run on the cut and paste Ubi formula.

I'll watch it and probably wont be able to help myself from getting excited on the morning of the show but for now no. Burned by Microsoft PR and hype far too many times

But not really. I mean Xbox have already had a showcase of next gen games and now PlayStation have too. So this is not the beginning of anything. It's just the next look in

The statements made of rising developement costs driving prices up is a fabrication. The video game industry is among the largest in the world with returns that would make any other media form jealous.
The price increases are merely being implemented to continue an unsustainable growth in annual profits for investors. Plenty of people with their head in the sand happy to keep it there because "its only a tenner extra!"

I'll keep an eye on this one

Bad choice of words maybe but not clickbait. Being classed as gambling now means it should not be accessible by minors. So EA does need to make a huge change now

The same source that leaked the PS5 reveal event last month has said the 13th will be the price and date announcement

Oh totally! And they certainly haven't made attempts to cover up issues within the company by moving offenders to new offices and keeping it all hush 😒

Definitely news to their ears

2182d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

The lack of competitive market in that regards would most certainly have the opposite effect

You're spot on. The issue does not lie in games "costing more to create."

The issue is investors expecting a larger growth in profit every consecutive year. An 8% profit increase this year is not acceptable if last year they got a 10% profit on the prior year. Despite profits actually being higher they just aren't high enough effectively

Its an unrealistic and actually disgusting expectation.

Another thing worth noting is that game software at its current RRP is highly profitable. The issue here lies in publishers expecting an ever expanding annual growth. That is just not sustainable and would have to peak somewhere. So instead we get a price hike with "game development costs" being used as the scapegoat.
"Daylight robbery" is exactly what it is. Consumerist con job!

Yeah okay guys, like we believe that!

This is Microsoft we are talking about though! They're probably going to just jack up the price of GamePass anyway

So should we just expect the rest of this interview in another 14 separate articles then?
