The first full digit update in a long time and I doubt its going to make any meaningful changes this close to a new generation launch
Yeah im disappointed by that too. Its a visual style I really can't enjoy. I'll still give this its chance. After all Castlevania was absolutely fantastic! And that wasn't something I thought I'd ever say back when it was announced

Thankfully the reviewer is in the minority but the more people like himself start clinging to this idea that everything has to be considered and accommodated we will start losing creative licence and many more creators will start to shy away from certain ideas
The 360 reached a 54% failure rate at its peak and a 41% repeat issue. A large number of these were replaced and Microsoft counted them in their consoles shipped figures to bloat it

I actually love sim games. I play a lot of Planet Zoo and Planet Coaster. Just lose myself in building stuff for hours and saving blueprints for my good parks.

If that doesn't catch to you then you're not going to enjoy it. Yes there's more to it but not by a big margin. I can fully understand someone not enjoying the game but it got far too much heat for what it is. I adored it and it connected with me like no other game did last year. My 3 best friends hated it.
there's very clearly a lot of love and devotion gone into this and yeah while I admittedly know fuck all about the genre and its potential for sales I find it hard to believe this would be anything but niche. I just hope the studio makes a healthy return for their efforts and can continue developing with that calibre

Im looking forward to it. The game looks gorgeous. I expect to move on from it all too quickly though. Not something that would catch me for long so I'm glad its on game pass

On their kickstarter page they've listed games previously worked on. Soma, Amnesia, Hue and Alien Isolation among others. I read elsewhere that some of them have a background in creative assembly and considering they also list Total War as games theyve worked on it makes sense
You can definitely tell some of the guys from creative assembly are working on this. So much Alien Isolation influence. If its got dinosaurs though its got my attention
I wouldnt say the Last Of Us 2 is game of the generation but I will dispute anyone trying to downplay it amongst its "fans"
