This is a hilarious review, cause that is exactly how I felt about the original!
I thought Microsoft would have something more up their sleeve. It's too bad they couldn't pull a Rock Band on Singstar.
R2 servers never went down for me. I played every day without a problem.
How do you know that it owns SingStar? Wait a second.....o it's cause you're a 360 fanboy. Anyways, I am a happy owner of both. My only problem with this game is that I fail to see any real innovation.
Anyways, this was a quality interview. Media Molecule seems to be a pretty humble dev studio. I hope the best for them in the future.
Even though it deserves a 10, there are still server issues that need to be fixed. I played for 6 hours today and ran into some heavy lag (it only lasted for 10-20 sec but still) Even with the lag though, it's a great game. I hope they fix this soon.
No, if your spec ops are dead, you revive them. No one is truly dead until EVERYONE is dead. And you don't even need someone to revive you, wait 30 secs. and you are as good as new. Except when your spawn surrounded by chimera.
I never realized that before. It is a good idea to get your games (as a dev) into popular tv series for promotion. Crazy tv fanboys could become crazy video game fanboys. (not that we already don't have plenty of those on this site.)
Nice troll attempt on both your parts. I almost got pissed at your posts then I realized it was the open zone.
I have to admit that it looks good. This has nothing to do with gears but I never really liked the gritty style of the UE3. Graphically, the engine excels but the style of the visuals kill me 'cause it is all too similar. Don't get me wrong, I am going to get this game day 1 because it's fun, but I don't think these are the best visuals ever imo. My two cents.
What CGI thing are you referring to? All Heavy Rain footage was Real Time.
Anyways, If you have ever been to socom.com You would understand that Socom Confrontation averages 100,000 user log ons a day. With all the lag and server issues going on, I say that's a lot of people. Now, imagine how many people will play once Slant Six fixes it? I've been to countless forums where people say they will not buy the game until it's finished with patches. I say that it is highly possible that it could break 1000000 at retail once everything is ready.
I wonder how many of those idiots are full grown adults living in their mother's basement.
Are Epic proud of this? If that happened to a game I was working on, I would try to keep it kind of quiet.
GTA IV came out awhile ago, LBP isn't out yet. Two completely different genres. A completely lame article trying to spark up flames.
I really don't think so. The 360 is not this gens PS2. It's more like this gens Dreamcast if you want a fair comparison. Ahead at first, easier to develop for, etc. I'm not going to say that it will drop behind the PS3 by any means, but Sony has a track record for making consoles that are a pain to develop for, but when done right, the games turn out beautifully.
The game is fun, but to say it doesn't have any bugs or problems would be lying to yourself. Some textures are to be desired and the coop system is broken. Me and my friend spent all today playing it. Even with these problems, it still is a lot of fun. Just not perfect.
BRING BACK BOOTH BABES!!!!!
Voice Chat is one of the main reasons why MS and Level 5 have a bad relationship. Look it up. MS tried to force Level 5 to put VC into Fantasy Live Online and Level 5 couldn't find a good way to do it. That's when things with the game went silent for a year, eventually leading to the cancelation.
Try spelling everything correctly if you are going to rant.
