I prefer the battle system Transistor uses. Not outdated but still pays homage to the turn based system.
Ok they gave it a 7. We're going to cry about that too? I bet when they give your favorite game a 9 you love GameSpot.
Maybe reviews need to get rid of scores and just have the review and recommend or not recommended. Too much faith is put into these reviews. People getting upset over them irrationally.
You don't get that 4 million will not make this game. Sony is still taking a risk.
I think people are just trying to find something to be upset about. Don't back it of you have a problem.
What? The Shenmue games were amazing. I still play Shenmue 2.
A friend of mine who has never been into MGS and doesn't know much about it seen this video and got super hyped for it. September 1st can't come fast enough.
It makes no sense how much people are crying because the fact is if you back the project you get the game. It's the best pre-ordering system ever. The money goes to the devs not a retail store. You'll pre-order for a lame gun skin but have a problem with this?
You get the game upon completion. Nothing to whine about IMO.
You get the game. This is like a better version of pre-ordering. What's the problem?
Lol right? I'm like "wait what?"
It's absolutely amazing.
@Maybelovehate
Did I play them? I still have them and they're in my top 10 of all-time. People loved Shenmue 2. I actually think it's better than the first one. Had nothing to do with it not being good, it was great.
The reason was how it was released. Dreamcast version being hard to get and that being the version that allowed game save transfer. The original xbox was still young. You saying the game wasn't good at the time is laughable to me. I c...
I was close to crying at the reveal. Had to do the macho thing and claim something was in my eye.
So happy to see this come true.
Shenmue 2 didn't sell well because 1) It was a hassle to get on the Dreamcast. People had to import it. 2) it released on Xbox in the west. A system not known to have a fan base that are into that type of game.
It needed to be marketed correctly. Sony can do that. FF7 remake has been wished for forever, and it's happening point blank period. It's not about remakes it's about giving gamers what they want.
The entire conference was brilliant. Th...
@CerebralAssassin
They announced what will be available this year because they were the same games announced last year. I don't get this argument. We knew those games was coming. They been announced.
I should be upset but I started dying laughing reading the headline.
This looks like THPS2 -__-
The amount of things going on in that demo is incredible.
I don't think you understand Shenmue's history. It was always a risky venture with it. Sony played it smart and made sure the interest was as reported. Not to mention the brilliant emotional marketing by making it seem more heartfelt by letting the fans be the reason for its existence via Kickstarter.
If you donate you're simply pre ordering and saying you want the game. People pre-order for BS skins for weapons, pre-order this so the dream me and several others h...
That's not encouraging but we can hope most will make it happen.
Sony seems to have much more up their sleeves of they revealed this much. Remember their 1st party studios are all working on stuff and most weren't at the conference. It's actually pretty scary.
Can't wait to see more on Quantic Break. Crackdown was never impressive to me but maybe I can get into this new one.
9's are given out like candy in the beginning of Willy Wonka these days.
