Good point about the trophies and achievments. This is definitely something I wouldn't want to throw away in the next generation.
Admittedly I'm only level 35 as I recall but in hours and hours of play I think I've only really had a small handful of matches that fell apart.
And the win to loss ratio seems pretty much equal - the only map I think Raven has a hard time with is Sabotage against SVER (can't remember the name of the map - but I think you know which one I'm talking about).
Anti-Raven rhetoric! LoL!
Honestly I never have this problem - and I think all the PMCs have about the same number of people with or without mics.
I love how Nintendo is always reinventing itself and Sony and Microsoft are always trying to catch up to them (ie. Natal and Sony Motion Control). Definitely a testament to how long the big N has been a player in the gaming industry.
Regarding the screenshot - I think that's a pretty good example. Where is Mario walking again...?
Once again you have taken an excerpt out of context by only quoting a fragment of the article that supports your feeble argument.
200 players more. Fact. Has nothing to do with being a fanboy and everything to do with drawing a comparison.
And you can assume what you like but the fact that you're trying to attack an article that only brings up MAG as a point of reference and then a desperate attempt to cite "fanboyism" is absurd.
Who s...
Overmars... to begin - those two excerpts you've taken out of context of the article. The author makes it clear that while he's enjoyed his time with Battlefield and would recommend it as a purchase to anyone with an XBOX 360 the game did nothing to really surprise him. Standard gameplay offerings.
And your attempt to call the MAG reference pure fanboyism has no legs. If he rambled on about how much better of a game MAG is I may be able to see your point but he makes a passing ...
Somebody doesn't own a PS3 - LoL!
Joking aside - it's been a while since a demo managed to sell me on a game.
Reminds me of Shenmue actually.
Agreed. I don't understand the "lame" reports. Face the truth.
Well - Planetside was a decent early MMO style FPS but it has some lag issues. Still a fun game. In a way I would consider MAG to be a sort of spiritual successor to games like Planetside and the early Battlefield games.
I think most reviews from the big game sites were quick to toss MAG under the bus - my review was a little late coming but I wanted to really be able to dig into the game first to be able to honestly speak to it.
Anyway - thanks for reading. /endwall...
I thought Windwaker did the whole cell shading thing to good effect.
The most fun I had in Shenmue was driving the forklift - yeah... not so fun...
Are you under the impression that BFBC2 will be an experience entirely devoid of glitches and exploits? Who's really to blame for the exploitation of games like this? Having worked in a QA/Testing capacity for a game publisher I can attest to the fact that EVERY game goes out with bugs. So this isn't really a fair argument to level at the developer since the community only exacerbates the issue.
Anyway - just something to chew on. MW2's supply drop glitch is pretty damn annoyin...
Thanks for the feedback. It's still in it's infancy but we've been doing alot of development on RoboAwesome and the next podcast should have much higher production values.
The best part of the browser based games is the removal of the hardware requirements. How many times have you had to fuss with the system configuration of every new game you buy for your PC?
This approach could really be a revival for PC gaming - cloud computing. It looks and plays great even on my old Dell from 2001.
Indeed it is good sir. RoboAwesome-ness.
For the lame and spam reports: did you actually read through the article? I'm hopeful that Conviction moves the multiplayer back in the right direction.
Better late than never!
Good point on the console failure rate - the only console before the current gen that ever ate it for me was the PS1 with it's disc read trouble.
