the reason for the companies for you to hang un to their games is so they can sell you DLC. What would otherwise be their point. If they sold you the game they allready made their money. (This does not go for all of them)
Yeah it's usually not up to the developers, but with the publishers, funders, money makers, guys in the suits, Name it what you want.
The reason it has free DLC is because it's a exclusive.

With some games it doesn't matter if they are always online. Especially mmo's and multiplayer only games like in this article, but if your looking at games like simcity those games should have a offline mode. The only game who did this was nba2k14 needing you to be always online even with the singeplayer mode now that's bullshit not like the games who are mentioned.
It's a shame all the good games are on the xbox one.
For one I would have really loved to play those fun couch co-op games on the ps 4. There aren't really any fun local co-op games on the ps4.
edit: Oh i think garden warfare is the only one who supports local splitscreen. Games like dead rising 3 and project spark don't.

lol the biggest reason that I want this to be out in 2014,is so the next elder scrolls can be out in 2016, don't get me wrong both games are one of my favorite franchises, but the elder scrolls are my number one games. really want to play fallout to, but it will probaly release in 2015, with the next elder scrolls in 2017.
It was an nice idea,but most people don't got projectors, maybe if kinect was wireless so you could place it towards the screen lol.

bungie has an contract over an 10 year lifespan for destiny, with 3 games and 3 DLC.
EA: said titanfall is exclusive to xbox over its entire lifespan, but possible sequels are multiplatform, knowing EA they will probably milk the shit out of it.
Ubisoft: confirmed there will be a sequel, they said they are not making an new IP without it having a future.
