This guy went out bought a $400 360, paid probably 2/3 years of Live, a wifi adapter, rechargeable batteries, maybe the HD-DVD movie player, a headset, and maybe a bigger HDD, and an overrated game with jello blood and gay space marines.

Nice try. Sony had this planned from the start. There was an article on N4G that states this. Microsoft was so quick to jump the gun, they had rumors one week before it was announced. Sony? 3-5 months.

Sad. Microsoft's marketing makes you think games such as any EA sports title or placing LittleBigPlanet music inside their advertisements are exclusive to their platform. This is not the case with the Xbox 360. You can only leave it on for an hour so the power bill won't be that expensive.
