It is released 7th June in North America and then other regions are released after that... perhaps they're showing it just as an extra final bit of publicity just as/before it releases.

Tbh I'm more interested to see what Microsoft have to offer. I love Sony but MS are keeping their cards close to their chest atm from what I can see, it wouldn't surprise me if MS pulled something out of the bag (other than a new console ofc) to trump Sony, MS are the ones that need to prove themselves this year I think.

It's one of the first games of it's type, so give it a chance. Hopefully the feedback well help Team Bondi make the game you want in the next installment, they can only do so much first time round to see if they have an audience for a game like this.

Looks good, but I'm reserving judgement. My main attraction is multiplayer so I'll be waiting on the reveal to see whether it will deliver. The sprint animation is slightly off-putting too.
But whatever, I'm nitpicking, this seems to me what the graphics were promised to look like this gen but it didn't work out that way.
Next-gen is already on the PC.

Ehhh I don't know, it depends on what you're comparing.
Too me, Uncharted 2 is a graphical beast in terms of fluid character animations and expressions and in attention to detail to their level environments (just look at Nepal, the attention to detail is astounding, right down to how the nailed the fact that propane tanks are everywhere). But the textures (even though they are good), aren't that great. Uncharted 2's engine isn't invested in textures etc.

That is the stupidest comparison I have ever heard. How can you possibly say that COD has the same graphics as MAG? Look at the animations, look at the detail on the gun models, look at the detail in the environments, MW2 wins in every department.
I was in the closed beta and I just didn't like the feel of the game. Sure, it was fun when I came across a rare squad where everyone had mics and was stratgetising, but it still was putting off how the gun fires with no recoil, how the animations just look off, and how it's a Holographic Sight, not a Red Dot Sight (just a minor annoyance).
I'll give the open beta a try, but to be honest I can't see myself buying this game unless I'm really bored and need something new. The only ...
If you're expecting the game to change just from a beta you're going to be disappointed. Betas are used to test the servers and sort out major issues that might occur. The points the author brings up in the article will almost certainly not be changed for the retail release.
We've had games like Killzone 2, LBP, Resistance 2, Uncharted 2 which haven't flopped, whereas you have had to wait ages for that game in your username ...
