I never got to play the first two but I heard they were pretty fun. A PS3 HD Collection could be a smart move to get more people into the series, and increase the sales of their PS3 Red Faction games.
I guess I took that a little too literally. I personally consider textures/animation/character models/etc to be "graphics" and AA/HD upscaling/etc to be more performance and such. I guess narrowly it's all graphics. What I meant was, they didn't "remake" the graphics - it's the exact same game as on PS2, only cleaned up with extra performance effects sprinkled on, plus the HD resolution. It looks much nicer, but it's actually no "better". They did...
The GOW Collection didn't have upgraded graphics, it had better performance - no screen tearing and perfect 60fps with no stutters or drops, and was rendered in HD. None of the HD Classics will have "better graphics", but I'm wondering if they'll all be 60fps, even games that weren't originally like Sly Cooper and ICO/SotC (GOW/GOWII were 60fps on PS2 as well).
They're PS2 games with trophies and in HD, and now with Sly Cooper, in 3D, and 2+ game...
Yerli added that he was refused entry to see Killzone 3 at E310.
"I haven't seen Killzone, to be honest. I wish I would see it, but they won't let me see it!"
Fail.
Obviously, the PS3 has more potential left, with the best looking games on the market home to it, and the best looking games of the future coming only on it, but the 360 isn't maxed out either and is no slouch technically. The only console maxed out technically this gen is the Wii, and that's because it's last-gen hardware.
Though I will give FFXIII one thing: it is the best looking multiplatform game currently out. However, it can be topped, and games like Crysis...
Hopefully in the next year the sales will pick up. I would love to see an Alan Wake 2, so long as the story progression is natural and not forced.
Honestly, for a game that is truly 360 exclusive - not even on PC - disappointing sales is hard to believe, especially with how great it turned out to be and the 360's install base. I guess most 360 owners are teenagers looking to play overrated online games like MW2 and talk trash rather than play an engrossing and memorable g...
I've been waiting for a Parasite Eve 3, which is essentially what The 3rd Birthday is. I predict this will be another quality game to add to my PSP collection.
The current generation is so obsessed with realistic textures that nobody remembers to address how impressive a solid 60fps in a chaotic game is. This kind of smoothness is perfect for a car combat game. When you're driving at 100+mph, blasting everyone in sight in massive levels full of destruction, you don't have time to stop and admire how many details and texture layers the brick wall on the building to the left has, but you want the game to run smooth and responsibly.

I find it incredible that this is an open world game yet it looks just as good, if not better than Uncharted 2. It's not QUITE up to God Of War III but I have no doubt that by the time it releases in 2011, it can match and surpass GOWIII's visuals.
It's really great how all the first party PS3 developers share technology with each other. Uncharted 2, God Of War III, InFamous 2, and Killzone 3 all look equally magnificent but all have their own distinct art styles ...
Some of those screen comparisons are comparing MGSR's CG intro to MGS4 in-game cutscenes. Every cutscene in MGS4 is using the in-game engine, it's been this way since MGS1. MGSR's intro against that robotic creature with the lightning-blue spine is CGI. This comparison is therefore voided. Not to mention that nothing is broken down in-depth at all, like Lens Of Truth does. Because MGSR isn't even out. So this comparison shouldn't even be HAPPENING.
What is...
Don't write it off just because it's an FPS on the Wii. This could be the FPS to give Wii FPS's merit. Let's keep our eyes on this one and hope it does its pedigree justice!
Itagaki has quite the pedigree, and should deliver a fast, fluid and visceral action/shooter game.
They basically invented the FPS genre, and now they're making one of the most interesting FPS's this generation. I've got faith that they'll deliver a killer game!
But as long as they nail the performance, I'm happy with it. Then maybe Bethesda can take those performance notes for Fallout 4 and give the engine an overhaul.
I hope the long wait will be worth it. This game looks like a blast. Big world and diverse environments, and the racing and car combat is welcomed too.
Looks like they're going all out on this one. Can't wait to play it!
Can't wait for this game, looks like a visceral blast. Those devastating x-ray slow-mo moves are pretty cool too; I don't recall any fighter ever doing that, though I am afraid of them getting old fast.
This game definitely restored my faith in the franchise, and I hope the gameplay delivers like the brutality has so far.
I appreciate the new colorful setting and full-blown casino, but what I really want is a stable framerate, no more freezing, and few glitches at most. Give me that and the addictive Fallout 3 gameplay with a few new features and I'm a happy camper.
They could be going for the simple, classic approach as well.
BioWare did some free DLC around the release of ME2, which is always more incentive to pay for future DLC to me. ME2 is a fantastic game and succeeds on its own, but on a deeper level as well, as it has me going back and replaying ME1, and I end up having new experiences still in ME1, then import my saves to ME2. The replay value of this series in general is just colossal.
Once ME3 hits, my life will be over.
