1. the hdmi port on the ps3 can't do 1080p@60 in 3d. Maybe the Cell+RSX can but the port is the limit

not eyetoy but PS eye (released this gen before Kinect) has a better viewing angle so it doesn't need a motorized pivot, has a better RGB camera with either a higher resolution or frequency, and it have an array of microphone.
The only thing eye doesn't have is the IR sensor. But it cost about 5 times less and in doing something is even better...
With a good software it can do almost the same thing as kinect
