Not getting this game until these issues are fixed.
They'll tackle it be fixing whatever technical issue is causing the stalls.
So that's going to be either memory management or I/O management (since turning off auto-saved worked as a temporary measure). Maybe both things :)
Can you imagine Dark Souls as a movie?
Some guy dying over and over again, in slightly different ways, fighting a boss.
That would probably be quite dull.

Yeah, it's not mentioned in the game itself just the intro. Interesting.
Might not make a great boss fight though, lol :)
Or a weapon like the Stormruler from Demon souls whose ranged attack only works in the boss zone of Shrine of Storms. Use it elsewhere and it's not great.
I approve, but only if it's an optional area (like the Painted World), which doesn't change the main game, or provide the player with some new over-powered weapon (Like Fallout3 DLC did).
New areas and monsters are always good tho :)

Hope this makes more people buy it, the co-op side is a bit quiet lately.
Placing a summon sign and waiting and waiting isn't much fun. Most of the time I end up with people in Japan and occassionally there's some lag.
On play through number 3, and haven't botherd with Blighttown, just bypassed it using the shortcut from New Londo ruins.
Great game though, so many different ways to play. Different ways to level your character. And on play through 3 now able to use most weapons/spells which I didn't have the stats for previously so the fun increases.
Game of the year candidate :)

I'm on my 2nd play through now and not looking forward to Lost Izalith, gonna very hard without that shields help.
Before the patch I could do approx. 1,500 per shot using a Fire Greatsword +5, but now it's capped at about 250.
What's the point of having that shield now? None, apart from getting the "acquire all unique weapons" trophy.
Suppose I'll have to become a much better player and change how I play. Swing...
NOT HAPPY! Cystal ring shield L2 attack has gone from being super powerful to being totally rubbish and not worth having (unless I'm missing something somewhere).

The "get stuck or be unable to progress" sounds bad.
Hopefully you can always use DarkSign to go back to the bonfire, although you loose all souls/humanity.
Got to Lost Izalith last night, can got stuck on a tree root, and had to use Homeward bones, but only got 1 left and the Undead female merchent who sells them won't talk to me.
Also, Crystal Ring Shield been nurfed, not happy about that, it's very handy in a t...

Gonna leave it alone for a bit, it's p1ssing me off now.
Thank god I found that shortcut through Sen's Fortress, going back and forth through it is a total nightmare even when you know what's coming.
On-line pass to play ANYTHING then? Including SP campaign. Sigh!

Anyone remember Haze? The devs behind that game said their engine was pretty damn good too ;)
