i believe its 2 maps for $4.99, KZ2 had 3 packs each at that price, so 6 maps for $15 basically, very close to what Activision is doing with CoD
the one thing that KZ's map packs do is only divide the community apart since each pack is only 2 maps, at least Activision bundles 5 maps that way the community doesn't get divided

i'd say some of this has to deal with Nintendo going mainly casual once the Wii released, the majority of 3rd paty devs whether Japanese/N. American are not supporting the system due to the games not being able to compete with Just Dance being one example, second being the PS3's slow start, i'm pretty sure that most expected Sony to dominate once again, yet MS and Nintendo have become strong competitors, the devs went where new opportunities popped up

The majority of the 360's library is playable on the PC with the exception of some console titles and xbla titles, so no PC gaming won't die, MS is trying to do something that Steam dominates at the moment and is a free service
i think that MS will create a subscription fee for this service, i just want to know how open the service will be and if MS will allow PC gamers to mod the games that will be available once its released
