These are nice, but I could never work on settlements myself for any extended period of time. Just takes the life out the game for me.
Lots of questions here. Very interesting and exciting times over at Nintendo however.
To answer a question the article poses. I WOULD NOT pay extra so that I can have a a smooth 60fps and 1080p "experience" in my mind this is something that should be right out of the box.
However, I would be interested in what cluster gaming can do for my single player and multiplayer experience much more so than any talk of VR or 3D (which I noticed fell off the face of the Earth). ...

No such thing as game of the year. Best in class, yes. But not game of the year. The silliest indie game could be the goty for some while the best triple A game could also be it. Also take in consideration that while some love shooters, some may hate them, so on and so on with every other genre.
So taking all this information, GOTY is not possible. This is an attempt to pigeon hole gaming into the movie category and try to give awards in that same vein.
Even there those awards...

I fear for the series longevity. If square Elena doesn't at least match the life sales of number 1, rise may be the last one we get. That's past 8 million units.
I doubt ps4 users will come out in droves to buy the title within a what will be at that time the one year mark.
