Square-Enix has not made a decent Final Fantasy game since Final Fantasy 7. This game is their crowning achievement. They know that once they give the fans what they want there is literally nowhere else to go. They have nothing else that the fans truly, unanimously. want.

They did, but the game is a fun throw back. Maybe it doesn't deserve high praise but at least it should have been in the front page of the eshop. Crap like Mario Ultra Smash gets top billing and that in my opinion although polished is an inferior product. Just more of the same.
I thought the protagonist would speak. Especially how chatty the protagonist was in the last Xenoblades. However, I don't feel it ruins the game.

Multiplayer online should be half price.
Its almost time to stop gaming for me. Seems that modern gamers are OK with paying for half or a third of games. Otherwise these companies would not keep forcing the issue. Its like my wife says, no one wants to fight, they assume its the norm and therefore they take the abuse. This observation is from a non-gamer. She could care less.
