The idea behind that order was that RE 5 really felt like something totally separate from the RE themes and series. 6 may have been a terrible game but it tried to bring things back to horror with Leon's campaign, had multiple scenarios and darker tones. It failed miserably but at least it put in some kind of effort. It was a horrible, horrible game nonetheless.
X can be sorted as an enhanced CV. Revelations will make an appearance in the next list on the rest of the games in the series, sorry to disappoint you haha.
Funny how artists can bounce off each other's work like that. Gaming is a great medium to see homages and tributes. Fun read.

I agree. They did a great job at keeping the sense of tanky motion restriction for tension but let you feel more mobile at the same time.

I agree, 2 of the 3 campaigns were way too action heavy but at least Leon's tried to bring the mood back. Both of these games can die a horrible death honestly. Nothing close to the quality of the originals
While I do agree that RE 5 was a better video game, We just feel like RE 6 was more true to the source material and tone of the series. It was an abysmal game to be certain.

Had a guy once help me beat a world boss in ESO. He asked what I got for loot, I told him, he said that sucked and proceeded to make me a full set of legendary gear with a unique style material for free. I mailed him 5K gold because he wouldn't take more.
MMOs can be a wonderful thing.
No genre more than MMO's has been as inviting and welcoming to new players. People there tend to be really helpful. It's always nice to get a hand from a stranger when you're struggling

I can totally see where you're coming from and I am compelled to agree. I think those games are bordering closer to interactive movies than games but perhaps the vocabulary hasn't been adapted to divide the experiences properly yet.
I am much more a fan of games like the Wticher and the Elder Scrolls series. Games where you get to influence and interact with a rich narrative. Mass Effect was also great for that. I have finished a lot of games like these, but I've ...

I think people fault RE 4 for being the last game before 5 and 6 to stick to the horror theme. RE 4 did a great job of bringing the series into the modern gaming world, the problem is that Capcom took the worst aspect of RE 4, the emphasis on action over fear and helplessness, and ran with it like mad men.
