I agree with all your Bulleted points, but I would like to comment on your opening comments about the PS3's Social features vs. the Xbox 360s social features.
I personally, do not own an xbox 360, but my sister does, and I can run to her house and have access to and play an xbox 360 at any time i'd like. I just don't understand whats soo much better about Live compared to PSN. I'm really struggling with this one.

The article failed to mention, that L.A. Noire is almost unplayable on some peoples PS3's and 360's... and R* has yet to address it.
It was a BITCH getting though the main storyline dealing with all the random console shut offs. and the DLC is just unplayable. You loose your DLC quicksave when the system shuts itself off.

Theoretically yes. But there is a major difference between 30fps, and fixed 30fps.
If the game is 60fps, and the frame rate dips down to 40ish, we would barely notice it.
If the same 30fps game dipped down to 24fps, your going to start to notice the slowdown.

I agree, as much as I want the remake. The only way they can pull this off, is to leave the game as true to the orginal as possible, with redone HD textures and voiceovers.
Do not reinvent the wheel. Leave the camera fixed, the menues the same, although prettier.
Anybody else notice that when you goto your profile while connected to PSN the "driver" and "Favorite cars" boxes are all blank, yet if you View your profile while offline there all filled in properly.
