I hear so many say it took forever. Mine took 40 minutes with no hassles at all.
Now, as for the game ... it really is outstanding. I was also a little pissed about no mulitplayer, BUT after some reading online it has been said by the devs many times ... they could have made a good single player packed with a good multiplayer, BUT ... what they wanted to do was make a **GREAT** single player game instead. And I think they did just that.

Man oh man ... I use to love Metallica and still listen to the old stuff. But Lars really needs to give it a rest. Yes I point the finger at Lars since I have no doubt it is his doing. FOR FACK SAKE guys ... who know ... GH3 may have been the spark you needed to get back to the top and even use it to PUSH the new album that is on the way.

Normally do not buy games without multiplayer other than Oblivion, but this is a MUST HAVE for sure.
Have been playing consoles since the Atari 2600 and this game is the first in a long long time to really really grab me. I would say the 360 with the killer games is one of the best consoles I have had. Up with my PS1.

I agree with you on the getting a PS3 soon. I would not really call it a family since I really hold no loyalty to Sony or MS for that matter.

1. MUST HAVE A KILLER ONLINE SERVICE (I have played on my buds PS3 "FREE ONLINE SERVICE" and I am still not convinced it even comes close to XBL ... $50 is not much to pay for what XBL gives in return. If Sony had to charge $50 a year to bring the online up to snuff with XBL, I would without hesitation pay for BOTH XBL and the SONY Online. The whole Second-Life knock off does nothing f...

If you have a CLUE about surge protectors you know this is BS. I have a killer Monster Surge protector / power conditioner and I promise you it is NOT the issue.
Funny how it can protect my $4000 TV but some folks think it is hurting my 360 .... get a life. They balance power and protect again not only spikes but drops in power. How could it POSSIBLY be a negative impact .... easy ... IT CAN'T.

.. how a FREE service could top what XBOX Live offers. For what I get from XBL, I have ZERO issue paying for it. Actually, if MS was to downgrade to a sub-par online service, I would not even keep my 360. For me, it is ALL ABOUT the online experience.
