@ Melvin
I know right.but maybe not for another 5 years due to the fact of the current internet infrastructure and the cost of high speed internet. The publishers would be foolish to go all digital because there are still major cities with piss poor net speed which would greatly affect their adoption of all digital, until this is addressed I still got time. Sad it has come to me wanting to delay progress to be able to claim some sort of ownership for the games I purchase
i have got to agree. last gen i never got a next gen console early on and i remember gamers and gaming media complaining about no games to play especially with the ps3 that had only motostorm and i think resistance in its first year of release.
OT: i had a thought today about sony and psnow. not sure if sony understands how important psnow is. with mobile becoming really powerful and claiming "console quality experience" sony could be ahead of the curve by being the...
I also find it funny that the games industry is the only one going the way of subscriptions or nothing. the films industry is twice as big and they somehow still allow digital and physical to coexist in harmony. I say this, the day gaming becomes all subscriptions is the day I give up this hobby and find some new hobby... always been interested in golf
It will only happen if we let it. I do t mind digital but it has to make sense, there has to be more advantages than what is currently on offer.
Publishers and game devs are quick to say digital is the future and for all consumers to welcome it with open arms but they don't want to offer the us the flexibilities that comes with going digital by still using old businesses practice's that came with owing a physical copy.
Digital will happen but with the greed...
@iamnsuperman
I think you read my comment wrong. I never mentioned that EA access was like psnow, what I meant was if the publishers get on board with going the access route Sony will lose big time as they make some profits from publishers using their platform to reach consumers.
Are you that naive to believe EA access is not a threat to Sony psnow. EA access will be the first of many and if Sony is smart they will try to get ahead of the curve to entice both...
they are going to have to whether they like it or not, especially now that EA has come out with access if it catches on with other publishers sony will lose big time as they have invested too much in now to let it become a failure. also the subscription prices needs to be reasonable
with EA access bringing it trust me sony will be forced to bring down the prices and even offer a subscription service. sony cannot afford for this service to become a failure they have spent way too much money on this
"No Plans To Change PS4's Sub Account Functionality". i really hope this is not true, i sometimes don't get sony and the way they think, the ability to change your name and upgrade your account from sub to master should be on their priority list as features to be released on the ps4
ok you might be right that games are more expensive but sony is not currently offering new games with this service. if they truly want this service to be successful they will need to meet the consumer half way those psnow prices are ridiculous
yes, netflix some how manages to see profits charging $5 to stream movies /tv shows
PS now - rent games from multiple publishers for a set period
EA Access - rent EA games only for a set period

nice video walktrhrough. sony should just bite the bullet and offer a " true" Netflix experience for games $5 all games at your disposal and they would see profits like no tomorrow.
"The fact that EA is partnering with Microsoft and the Xbox One specifically is a little odd but not too surprising. With a service as risky as this EA will want to start small. "
noooo they went to sony and sony shunned them.
I did read the article that does not stop me questioning the writer logic behind the title, as he /she clearly does not understand the foundation of what psnow is trying to achieve to come up with a title like that especially when sony have clarified what they plan to achieve with this new service. please don't try to assume
yeah I did see that..... my head hurts :) i wish they would come out and say what the level cap is with all the sub classes, upgrades and advantages would be, i guess we shall find out at release
i thought they said the level cap was at 20. as well that titan looks sweet
Lol I'm sorry when did he say that
Now that's the real question
At least try to understand my comment. I never said I was against digital or that digital was not already happening.
You forgot to mention that digital cost more than physical a very big road block that and the fact that a lot of people internet are not up to par even in countries like the US and UK.
Digital is here to stay no one is denying that but it will be a long way before it comes the norm that is until the above points I mentioned are addressed
