I couldn't agree more with that extract. I think publishers and game developers should for their own good stop adding any sort of awards or extract from what these sites / journalist say to their marketing campaign advert because this could end up not benefiting them at all ending a franch...
nice numbers for both platforms, even with all the exclusive on ps platforms it seems most gamers did not care as both combined sales are 50/50, one could argue was there really a point for sony paying to get al those exclusive content deals for those numbers.
offtopic: also call of duty is still going strong damn, this is the reason activision keeps the yearly franchise all that hate and still number 3
This is why i cant take reviews or awards serioulsy. In the ads before lunch most of this site were saying how destiny is the second coming . I am enjoying destiny but i can also see its faults hopefully bungie are up to the task to improve on this as i really want this IP to do well

I never said that and I also never mentioned this was a bad thing either my comment was that the giving away game is not helping move consoles in a way MS desires and maybe they should try other tactics that could improve xbox one sales. my comment was not a dig at MS in anyway just my observation.
Yeah you cant go wrong but how many more free games can they give away? clearly this free games is not helping the system fly off the shelves so they might want to try something else.
they gave away fifa, titanfall, TMCC ( game exclusive) now destiny.
23,562 in its first week is more than enough reason to just say F IT WE OUT!!!. i cant not for one sec believe they are making any sort of profit from that market.
you make a fair point but no-one associates the xbox brand as THE machine for Japanese games that's more sony and nintendo machines.
