talking about rental service, your new xbx 1 and everything attached to that console is owned by ms and publishers you are just renting it for 499 dollars plus xbox live 50 $
the online fees does not bother me as i am already a psplus customer. i mean free games and discounts its a no brainer really. also with cloud gaming / gaikai and a host of other features i can see why sony is now charging. if psn is this good now imagine what improvements they will add now that most people will be paying

i think what ms is trying to do is confuse ppl. in the uk the new x1 is selling for 499, parents will see the 1 and the new 360 and would think they are getting a bargain for 499 with 500gb hard drive
