My comments are mostly about the Xbox but in no way read in a way that portrays me as a fanboy. One key feature I have is that I have an open mind the exact opposite of a fanboy.

Microsoft had way too many CGI announcements.(Phantom Dust, Crackdown, Scalebound, Halo 5 Beta, and Rise of the Tomb Raider)
Sony was at times painfully dull to watch. Too long spent on the wrong titles. Too much TV. No gameplay of Bloodborne even though gameplay leaked weeks before. And unfortunately Tretton > Layden by a country mile.
This is the exact same situation as Ken Levine and Bioshock Infinite. He said he thought the box art was awful and bland. But because he hadn't delivered on budget and timescales he lost the ability to choose and it was instead given to marketing people.
I've seen several give the inverse. Sony was criticised for overly long demonstrations, too much time on TV, and Layden. Microsoft criticised for too many CG trailers, too little detail on CG announcements and moderately safe announcements. (After they were all spoilt by NTkernel 6 months prior)
If we're dredging up irrelevant statistics surely Master Chief Collection has it in the bag? Bundling a 97, 95, 94 and 87 game together for the price of one?
Brich whilst true some games had serious performance issues when installed. Which just didn't make sense.
