i struggle to comprehend why Sony insists on shooting themselves in the leg day by day. Lets face it: Sony is a Hardware company, they lead the videogame market but have no experience in games. The games matter more than any other fancy hardware feature, this is why i will always stick with Nintendo and Microsoft. To the people who say the playstations have greater diversity in its selection of games, then i reply that 90% of the games are sub-standard and average, and that first party games ...
The problem with Sony lies in future gazing. I have absolutely nothing agaisnt looking towards the future, but this is all the company does. They never focus on one thing at a time, trying to accomplish everything at once. Cell, Blu-Ray, Online service, 1080p resolutiuons, Motion sensing, (remember when the prototype ps3 had 7 USB ports, WHF! this is unecessary!). They bring their hardware out too early in advance (Betamax anyone? It was far superior but the industry and consumer wasn't ready...

Blu-ray. It is a mysterious format. Sony are making it, which is always a cause for concern (cough, Betamax), there is all this support, yet blu-ray players are being delayed, with more movies announced for HD-DVD? Weirdness...

whatever sony bashers say, ps1 and 2 were milestones in the videogame industry. The ps3 faces tough competition, but i believe ps3 will CERTAINLY NOT FAIL. How many ps fans read the news on this site. All they are going to see is a console which is more expensive which always says to the consumer that the console is superior. i will only believe this monster of a man when i am sat down on my chair, with my PS3 on my desk, playing online. Up until this point, i will not be having any of it, i just don't know when this guy is telling me the truth.
team ninja are legendary developers, we all know this. So why do they limit themselves to endless sequels, make something new for cryin out loud!!
This game will be excellent. Rockstar take notice; we want online, good offline multiplayer and a decent story, just dump san andreas story, it was over exaggerated.
yet again the internet is hyping something out of nothing. Just cos 30 people have a problem out of 5million, is that a big problem? Give me a break (look around on forums, it's the same outspoken people with problems), it was all the same with the defective 360's at launch, 12,000- 17,000 is alot of bad units, don't get me wrong, but put it into context, out of 300,000 for North America, 300,000 for Europe and 100,000 for Japan, thats 12,000 out of 700,000. Doesn't sound bad now does it???
just one hd format HD-DVD or Blu-Ray then i reckon the launch and the future years would be amazingly successful for the world of HD. But 2 head-to-head, not offering anything substantially different to the other, is a recipe for disaster...
