sure this may help shift a few consoles, but:
if you were gonna buy and xbox for christmas you would of done it wiether it was bundled with halo or not.
Halo sells brilliantly anyway, would of been better to bundle with something else like PGR4 because then people would buy the console and then they'd probably buy a retail copy of halo, thats more cash for M$.

you'd rather pay money than have a few ad's in HOME? i dont understand it.
ad's could range from anything, for example, there maybe a large PRO EVO poster on home, you could walk up to it press a button and quickly pre-order it from amazon and pay through your PS wallet with micro-transactions.

judge a game for yourself or listen to friend who know what you like. its as simple as that. go rent a copy if your unsure.
reviews are pointless, if the guy doesnt like racers he'll probably mark it low, if he loves them then high. theres as much point in listening to a guy at IGN as there is a fat spotty dude that can be found in any local game shop.

i dont mind abit of advertising if that = a free service for me. if some one offered you a free ps3 but it had coka cola logo all over it would you say no? i know i wouldnt.
if people are happy to pay £50 a year for a service thats fine, but hey, im a tight a55, i dont wanna pay for something that the pc has offered me free for years.

BUT, this shows to me that all the hype before launch sold millions of copies, yet once people actually got to play the game at a friends house or something they havent bought it. and id have to agree with them, this game is no where near enough to fork out for a 360, no game ever justifies that regardless of console. a game last for about 6 months tops.

imagine this was the first time half-life 2 had been released, im sure this would be the number 1 for sometime and deservidly (spell check?) so, its currently the best FPS avaliable and nearly 3 years old.
for first time players, you sre in for a real treat, this is FPS at its best, by the best. have fun!!

but the graphics are breath taking, this will get the fury of others but i believe first part ps3 games already beat any of the first party xbox games even a year behind. remember, this is all IMO so try not you get your brand loyalty make you angry.
