it doesnt matter if you have 1 or 100meg connectiuon, its all dependent on the speed the host server gives you. for example, i have 10meg cable, but if i download say a hotfix from the offical M$ site do i get 10meg? no.
im not "cry" about leaving the 360 on, im basically stating that means you will have to leave it on will its downloading.
but if it takes ages its pointless. ill have to plan watching a movie 2 days in advance. plus leaving your 360 switched ON which could be risky.

anyone have any ideas as to how long it will take to download a HD movie?
as far as i know its not filmed in HD. plus they are on Gran Turismo TV so i doubt you'll see them on the 360 anytime soon.
you can have a 1,000,000meg i doesnt matter most of the time as your restricted to the speed that the host server is giving you.
i have 10meg cable and previously i had 4meg cable, the difference betwwen the 2 isnt great. dont get me wrong, id love to have 50-100meg but only if its at a reasonable price.

nobody is gonna use an xbox as their source for television, sky or freeview have that sown up. your average guy in the street doesnt want this sort of thing, they just want to try on the tv and watch it, not fumble around with a games console.

but please try and remember that M$ have a whole year on sony, there for in reality if sony gets theirs up and running within the next 12 months it actually came to their console sooner after its release. plus all the PSP intergration with is obviously gonna take some time.
it'll be interesting to see how much money M$ try and squeeze out of people for a movie. i read an article that stated if you were to download a family guy season then it would actually cost alot more than buying the box set.
