Just tried a few Divx movies and the quality through simple Media Player 11 is fantasic, better than running a VGA straight from the PC and using VLC or WMP.

All your questions you answer yourself, you can do everything that you stated. Except the download to HDD (would rock though), would make piracy a little to easy.
