But ya... indie games are a dime a dozen when it comes to being good. it's nice to have 1 great one a year, but let's not kid ourselves. indie game after indie game coming out does not light up the ratings charts.

Ya, maybe in 2030 they'll be established, and there's nothing wrong with them giving Indie devs chances... it's just there's really not that many good indie games in the first place. This whole generation there's been a handful of titles and trash dump full of sucky ones.
I just don't think indie games are what sell new next gen consoles.
Way to much is being put on Indie games importance. There's like one gem out of 1000's for indie games. Not sure why all of a sudden this new gen, indie games are the talk.

Will Sony even release NPD numbers? They haven't for a while now. They keep getting rocked by MS month after month, year after year. Even the 360 took off over the Wii finally now in the USA.

Seems the superior tech will be just like this gen. 3rd party games looking about the same.
