I paid 29.99 from a dashboard ad for my Live. My girl paid 39.99 for a year from a dashboard ad, and got a free game from it. (picked fable 3, we already have Reach, and the Kinect game.)
And I didn't know that about the PSN+ users. Then good for them. They get a free 3 months anyways, so there you go. Everyone wins.
If you're paying for PSN+ or some other pay service, then yes. Like a PSN game or something. Or like others are saying... a beta invite to a game coming out.
For regular PSN users like me.... No. We don't pay for it. It'll come back on when it's ready. Sucks ya... But I have a 360 as well to play on. So I'm covered either way. ;)

And I will agree that, that sucked. I was pissed and very vocal about the sporadic outings of Live back then. So were lot's of Xbox Live people. We were pissed.
We were so mad, and Live wasn't even hacked!
That's why I'm amazed more people are mad about this. PSN has been hacked. The unthinkable has happen, and our credit card numbers could be at risk.
I feel bad for the people that actually pay for PSN.
Lot of the hardcore fans of the PS3 are sweeping this one under the rug as no big deal. I wonder how it would be if it was the other way around. And Live was completely shut down. I'm talking the site, and everything to do with Live.

The games graphics are pretty good right now I'd say. I'm getting my butt kicked though so far... Haven't played Gears for a while. No dedicated servers as well.
