I was one of the fools who bought GTA4 for PS3. So glad I will be able to play the two DLC packs via the standalone 360 disc.
Anyway, IW may want to have a read of this article after the embarrassing Friends Against Grenade Spam viral which was kicking around a couple of days back...
Don't agree with Typing of the Dead being on this list. Just because the game knows that it is terrible doesn't stop it actually being terrible. Self-awareness is no justification.
Surely most serious gamers by now have a PS3 making the whole Bluray / 360 thing moot?
I want this so bad but here in the UK the absolute best price is £90 which shakes out at around $150. Just too much money right now :(
Some of the best storytelling in any game ever, due in no small part to the amazingly well written dialogue and great voice acting.
Gotta love Schafer.
Hmmm, not sure about this one. Sounds like one which may be worth picking up cheap further down the line.
Agree with Durand. As much as I am psyched that this is a new Bioware RPG, the cliched game world worries me a helluva a lot.
Awesome article. Love lists like this!
Uncharted 2 is an incredibly special video game. Absolutely fantastic. I hope Naughty Dog go on and make a killing from it. Most years this would handily walk away with GotY so I feel a little bad for Naughty Dog with MW2 around the corner...
$100 a year for XBox Live is a helluva financial committment for a lot of people.
The cliche about pictures and words well proven once again!
The more I hear about Borderlands, the more I think I should maybe pick it up...
lol - no, she is most certainly a bird.
The Maw and Splosion man are both examples of what makes XBLA such a great platform. Cracking interview.
I have to say, this review didn't read like a 9/10.
I'm hearing a helluva lot of people suggesting this is a group of amazingly well-written cut scenes sandwiched between not very much game.
I didn't say it was bad. With 5 as an average out of 10, I'm saying it is above average. It just doesn't deserve the massive universal praise it has received imo.
See, this is the kind of game I would have loved when I was younger but I just don't think I have the time to give Demons Soul the kind of attention it would deserve. This makes me sad :(
Play.com had the Go for £149 for a very short while this morning.
It's interesting that you mention Zelda. I think we have seen more and more signposting in Zelda as time has progressed. I wonder if this in indicitive of people making games or people playing games?
For me a '7' means a good game, considerably above average but one which does not excel in it's genre. I scored it as such.
The game tries it absolute best to make the whole experience as passive as possible. You need to go out of your way to make the game better by tweaking all the settings to make the game harder. I am all for accessibility but Forza 3 took it way too far imo. Couple this with the ropey damage modelling, 'interesting' AI and a few other wee niggles and that's ...
