It isn't like he's known for his delicate hand on this sort of stuff, though. All the first-person peeping scenes in MGS 3, the Naomi Hunter ones in 4, the fact that one mission in MGS1 was predicated on checking out a woman's butt to progress the story.
It's really tired the way people try to justify those other outfits. Ideally, every crappy design will get backlash until it isn't the standard anymore.
