Was there SERIOUSLY any doubt? Seriously...
Naughty Dog has proven themselves to be one of the best, if not THE best developer this generation! They are amazingly dedicated to their craft ~ and to think they could pull THIS off while simultaneously working on Uncharted 3 (which, as you already know, is f*cking amazing) is just... worthy of applause!
At least these guys are making more progress and putting more effort into it than Square ever will!
@maniacmayhem -
Listen... It's common sense by now!
Here's an interview with the art director of FFXIII, Isamu Kamikokuryou.

In it, he CLEARLY states (and this was before FFXIII-2 was even announced) that a lot of content was cut.
Just to save you the...
You know... While I do respect Carmack, I simply stop listening to his criticism when I see games like Uncharted 3 -
My mind goes numb and I go to lala-land...
I've always said this, and I'll continue to prophesy about it for as long as I game;
GAMES are BETTER than MOVIES!
Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE my fair share of movies and I'll continue to do so for as long as there is a movie worth watching, but -
I, and many of you, already felt it the day we played games like the original Metal Gear Solid.. Never had I been so immersed or so intrigued; these figures were unique - They weren'...
The game ended... :)
Why the hell do you approve this shit? This is a no name website!
NO reviews are out yet; they have DATES set for things like that - So no way in hell is some no-name website going to be first with a title like this and a score like that!
RIP Steve.
I was waiting for this to happen - Glad it did, great f*cking move, SONY!! :D
This was announced back in E306... We're talking original Drake's Fortune trailer here, THAT long ago!
It certainly looked promising, and back then, even Uncharted seemed liked CGI (ND sure proved us all wrong, now didn't they? :P)
And those leaked gameplay videos seemed like great fun (considering how unfinished the game was)
Heck, I'm for it! :) Give them a shot, Sony!
...Lose you virginity? You see, outrageous, unbacked statements can go both ways - Thing is though...Mine's more likely to be false :)
This version had an otherworldly feel to it, and combined the old with the still unexplored (over-the-shoulder view) - I'm assuming it was a bit too supernatural, and Resident Evil is all about viruses. :)
Still, I would've liked it!
They scraped this version because they wanted to make something entirely new, simply change the genre to reinvent the series.
Now it seems they've gone back to this and I have no complaints...Yet! :)
...
This springs to mind..
The original vision for RE4

I'd love for it to be something like this! :)
Wow...It really DOES everything!
"They broke new ground, rebuilt that ground just to break it again - Why you ask? Because they can..."
4 things happened.
1. MicroSoft
2. The Xbox 360
3. The humongous paycheck
4. And last but not least, Square-Enix greed and ignorance!
"..and who has no way of interacting with any object, moving or stationary, that does not involve killing it."
- I'm sure Aphrodite would wholeheartedly disagree! =)
My witty friend, but I was referring to the confirmation itself, so in other words - I don't! =)
But you're of course referring to the game; I don't mind waiting as long as they deliver!
Besides I have plenty of games to whet my appetite with until then, starting with GoW3 (which I finished recently).
From what I could gather, the previous Silent Hill game (Homecoming) was created by Double Helix Games - This, on the other hand, isn't.
Vatra Games is developing Downpour and they seem to have a better grasp on how to make a proper Silent Hill game, based on the interviews I've read and videos I've seen.
So it wouldn't be fair to judge them by a previous developer's mishaps.
The only real downside to the game is Akira Yamaoka'...
