Awesome, thanks for the heads up (I don't check IGN very often). I feel that my idea was pretty good; well, at least it's ambitious.
I would love a few weeks in the beta just to tinker with some of my ideas and get a better grasp of what I could be designing :P.
@2.1
Not coming... yet. Trust me. We WILL see a FF7 remake. Not at TGS, but it'll exist.
@2.2
Thinking about video games is "wasting your life away?" What am I allowed to think about that won't waste my 60+ years of thought? Should I just turn to philosophy? :S.
I'm pretty sure this was unofficially confirmed by a ND dev ages ago.
This guy has tried so hard to bash LBP. Might as well just do yourself a favor and stop caring. We all know you hate LBP.
I don't lose interest in a game just because it takes a while to be released. Doesn't make much sense to me to do that.
I was never interested in this game though.
So much hate :'(
Can you define "true gamer." I think my opinion of it differs from yours :/
EDIT: This was meant for Silogon - Comment 11. Don't know what happened with this comment ending up here instead.
"They're boring and lack depth."
These are gamers making the levels. Regular people. Not trained level designers. Go make some consistently amazing LBP levels, then come talk to me to prove your point.
Play the SP mode if the regular gamers aren't meeting all of your needs. I don't mind playing something that a fellow gamer made, bu...
There's already a tetris level:

Upload a video of the levels you've made, otherwise I can't take you seriously. You have to be GREAT at making LBP levels to talk smack about other people's creative work.
Remember, this isn't a level designer making the level. It's a person with a creative concept using the tools at hand to manifest that concept into an LBP level.
Nothing wrong with experimentation, ESPECIALLY in a fresh beta. I hope you understand what I'm trying to get across here. Probably won't...
Eh. Once again, I feel that fun was sacrificed for creativity.
My ideas are all creative, but I made sure to make them fun (the plans at least- don't have beta).
I agree with roughly half the list, but not so much that I'd consider them "problems," just "differences," really.
Also, can't Cliffy here just, oh I don't know... not play the PS3 version? Just watch someone else play it for him?
Honestly, he doesn't build the game on his own, so why does he want to shun a system because of HIS controller preferences.
If I was a game dev, I wouldn't give 2 ****s about the controller I prefer. I'd be more concerned with making a game that the most people possible could enjoy. I always thought that was the point of making games, but people like C...
If you want a PCPS360 controller, then I can recommend you part of it. It's a PCPS3 controller:

It's probably the closest thing you'll find, and with a 9.1 from IGN, I'd think it's a pretty good thing to settle for. I've never tried it though (not big on FPS, but I'm opening up to them).
Honestly, I feel the same way, but vice versa. The 360 controller is a main reason I don't own a 360, and when I'm playing PS3 it feels like I'm not even holding a controller half the time.
That's probably due to playing with that controller design for a decade though...
I don't think you understand what makes a good RPG.
If it's fun for you, you should play it. Dragon Quest VIII looks pretty bad compared to games out now, but I've been replaying it lately, despite those graphical flaws.
Did you not read the criteria? It has to be beautiful, not powerful, in the graphics department. It's also based solely on random people's opinions.
Well, if the hardware that's been evolving since '05 still gets RRoD, then why the Hell does you're "evolving" argument stand?
Betas are for testing more than enjoyment :P
