I think there's a market for these kind of games, after all Heavy Rain did a million in a month, and I'm pretty sure it'll do 2 - 2.5 million in lifetime sales, maybe even more.
Its nice see risky games like Heavy Rain get critical and commercial success and prove the naysayers wrong at the same time. Looking foward to David Cage's next project. :)

Well its possible that the original and old slim models were selling at a loss ever since they were launched, sure the manafacturing costs went down for both models but still had a net loss for said manafactured models.
A new slim model is being introduced to break even, so Sony will mostly likey phase out the old slim and make PS3 turn profit and yes, I think a considerable sum of money went into PSP2 developent (which I'm personally looking forward to).

Seriously have no idea why Mass Effect sold that little, 1.6m is good but should be like atleast 3m. That game has a metacritic of 96 for crying out loud, why isn't more people buying this game?!?!
Bit of a shame for 40th day and Dante's Inferno, hope those games got good legs for the developers sake.

Seriously? LBP came out with a metacritic of 95, GOTY 08 and tons of awards. LBP2 will do the exact same thing and then some.

Edit @poindat: Hmm, I guessing you're not from Britain? Every so often, supermarket giants have a price war on specific games depending on popularity. E.g when FIFA 10 and MW2 was released, thanks to the price war between the giants, you could pick up the game as cheap as £26 and bear in mind this would be where the game was just launched for the full retail price of £40.
