The 4 hour choice of rental should not be an option. Like really, why rent a game for 4 hours? Is anyone else thinking that too or is that just me?
I don't think he's an Xbot, more so a guy over-evaluating the situation. Saying that if this game becomes a big hit 500 mill budgets for Aaa games may become the norm. It will be bad for the industry if this does become the norm, but no one knows the exact repercussions that would come out of that.
I can understand his concern. It is a huge amount of money going into this game. And if they need to sell 18 mill copies to just even out, that's too much to become the norm of Aaa games. It is one of the most anticipated game of this year, this game has little chance to really fail so this budget becoming the norm may be inevitable.
In the words of totalbiscuit, "of all the people to start this debate..."
Seriously, he's the worst kind of person... But on the topic, you can't compare movies to video games and vice versa, they are way to different. Also I could agree if the let's players were doing a game heavily bases on its story, an example would be a final fantasy game, as it would be the reason you play the game, fez... Is not one of those kinds of games...
I don't get all the hate that he gets, he supports charities to convince people to donate to them, he donates his own money too. I've never heard of him being such a bad guy and he respects his viewers. Why the hate in these comments?
I really do just hate these kinds of articles now. There are too many of this clickbait stuff. I don't even think it can be considered click bait anymore either as even Sony fanboys are getting tired of hearing it. Lol
@Darrius & Logic
The death penalty was there to make you fear death. It would make you plan carefully and keep you on your toes. If it wasn't worth losing all your souls at the boss you could farm for a bit in order for those lost souls to not mater. Also, every boss had at least one weakness that if you used to your advantage you could easily win. It's fair to say the game was not easy, but that's the part that made it so successful, but the death penalty was not too ...
Real pro players have no need to boast. Lol ;P
When games start becoming a bit too real... Shit happens. Lol
Can we really stop with the sexism thing with this game, ubisoft came out and said it would be too much work, another dev came out on twitter saying that it wouldn't be too much work at all. Can't we just say that ubisoft is just lazy? Lol
It seems to be the next duke nukem forever. Lol
Most games these days have been very linear, especially fps's. The linearity of a game doesn't mater anymore unless the gameplay doesn't cooperate with its linearity, see final fantasy 13. Shooters usually don't have much issue with this though.
See the real question here is is it still going to look just as great on release? As many devs these days showing off early builds make them look much better than what they look like when launched. Frame rate issues in very early builds such as this is to be expected.
I can't wait for this game! I thought this was going to be just a great game via gameplay, but to be visually great as well will just be awesome!
Fair enough, that is very true.
Well above all in this article, i came out of this with one question; where is that AR project that MS was working on. Actually with the hype of E3 on me I didn't even think about it. Haven't heard anything on it for a while... unless I missed some news. lol
OT: this article didn't really have much of a point, or if it did, didn't do well in supporting that point.
I'd have to disagree with the "must have" thing, that is pretty subjective on its own, but I'd say that on Sony's side they had Bloodborne and LBP3 that are/going to be big games and I believe at the least LBP3 is a must have and for the most part I believe Bloodborne will be too. And on MS's side they have Crackdown 2 which I think I will be an essential game on XB1 and Sunset Overdrive, which I believe like Bloodborne will be another big possibly must have game. ...
IDK, I felt like this year Sony and MS were pretty equal, I mean MS's conference definitely made me want to buy a XB1, although when the cheaper Kinectless sku comes out, and Sony's made me really excited for next year/end of this year when all the games come out, especially LBP 3 and Bloodborne. I found that the shows on both sides had some must haves for me.
I can't wait to get it! I love the LBP series, especially the second one, making levels, even crappy ones, is so much fun. lol
@thinkthink
I believe you could be very right about that... This is a sports game and it doesn't take up a vast amount of resources as it doesn't have any kind of extra textures other than the arena, the characters and the ball. It should be 1080p 60fps...
