I agree with some of your sentiment, but can't shake the fact that this seems like a veiled attempt to virtue signal. The BF5 "controversy" is a complex issue that isn't black or white in any sense, you don't have the right answer & neither do the people you despise.

WW2 is a sensitive subject, millions of people lost their lives for Christ sake. To claim that the only reason someone can have a problem with women with cyberpunk arms saving people ...

I agree with Guilty, from a pure impressive use of hardware standpoint. I have to give the win to Far Cry 5, an open world game, which is far more demanding than something like Uncharted 4.

To be clear, I think Uncharted is a better series. I don't even like the Far Cry series, however I think it's a safe bet to say Far Cry 5 is the most technically impressive & demanding game currently on Consoles. An the Xbox One X happens to have the better version.

No actually pixel density is an extremely important in display quality. 1280x720 on a 6.2" screen will look a lot sharper than 1920x1080 on a 50" screen at normal viewing distances.

Obviously the PS4 is much more powerful hardware, so things like better anti aliasing & textures can compensate for lower pixel density. But to go on and claim it doesn't matter.

Well It's almost as stupid as claiming the earth is flat. If pixel density d...

This is talking about PC emulation, which brings a whole set of advantages over console counterparts.

For example being able to emulate Wii/Wii U Games at 4K on the PC with a locked 60 FPS.

The PS4 Emulator will be much more heavy in system requirements one would assume however.

It's an impressive console for the price there's no arguing that. It's in-between a GTX 1060 & GTX 1070 in terms of performance. But closer to the 6GB GTX 1060. It's still more impressive than both the RX 580 & GTX 1060 from a technical level however.

Since it's more shader heavy than both, although somewhat let down by the core clock. Both the PS4 Pro & Xbox One X have very impressive GPU's. However they're very much let down by the...

I don't post here anymore, but I had to make an exception since you're so fucking full of it.

Final Fantasy XV runs at 3440x1440 on my PC at 75 FPS (monitor refresh rate) on my GTX 1080 (high preset). I have also played it on my One X at 4K.

Not only does it look worse, it's at less than half my PC's frame rate.

PC has a ton of amazing exclusives, they just happen to be in genres you don't explore. The latest in a long like came out recently called Civilization 6.

There are a ton of PC exclusives with vast depth an content. You're simply to closed minded to explore them.

Naw, even someone with relatively poor eyesight can see 70-75 frames per second and notice a decent benefit from it. The problem is everyone keeps doubling frame rates, not realising there is indeed a sweet spot between 60 & 120.

4213d ago 1 agree3 disagreeView comment

120 frames per second is a complete waste of time, the only reason PC gamers started believing you can actually benefit from that frame rate, is because of the 3D monitors that started popping up @120hz before 3D crashed & burnt for the 16th time.

There is a benefit over 60hz granted, most people can see 75-80 frames per second. People with good eyesight can see a good benefit up to 90hz, but after that you really are just pissing into the wind.

However...

RTS games play better on PC almost universally.

What are you trying to say?

4336d ago 16 agree6 disagreeView comment

Don't you have to pay to play online on both systems now, although with a few exception on the PS4.

For example ESO allows you to play online without a PS+ subscription.

PS4 has extra content right, while PC will have better graphics depending on system + the ability to add mods.

Both seem viable, if the extra content is left disabled in the PC release however & the community manage to enable it, then the PC release seems the easy choice if you have both a PS4 & good gaming rig.

Although it really won't matter what platform, as the PS4 is perfectly capable of handling this type of game, the PC is simply optimal. ...

So your saying an R9 290 $500 GPU only has the GPU power of a PS4, your clearly a bit stupid if you believe that.

Also I suggest you look at Mantle, it promises console like to the metal coding for PC's.

http://www.youtube.com/watc...

This has similar performance to the PS4 & it costs $110

I never said consoles would match PC resolutions, simply stated I am not impressed when I read about how someone managed to achieve 1080p + 60 FPS on a modern game.

Even a $500 PC can do that easily.

4337d ago 7 agree30 disagreeView comment

It's quite silly how 60 FPS @ 1080p is treated as some sort of holy grail for gaming. I haven't been happy with 1080p for 5 years, I had a "1200p" panel 10 years ago. I am currently using 2560x1440 I run my games around 75 frames per second as my eyes don't allow me to see anymore than that.

But plenty of people I know are making the jump to 4k, which has a 4x higher resolution than 1080p. But to be honest even with almost double the resolution of 1080p...

You realise first & foremost that Rift & Sony's VR solution are just lenses strapped to an LCD panel right?

Think is the problem people cannot get their heads around with this dumb software/development argument.

You don't actually need to do any development to allow Rift/Morpheus to work, the solution is already in the hardware. The only additional development required comes from needed to allow the head motion tr...

You realise Sony is only one of 9 original Blu-ray partners right? It really isn't up to Sony who uses Blu-ray.

The Blu-ray association current has 18 members, Sony is but one of them.

I realise it doesn't fit the traditional Japanese RPG mold, however it is a JRPG in the very sense of the word. It also doesn't play like western RPG's either, it's quite unique and doesn't really have much to be compared with.

Sony's VR set isn't in direct competition with the Rift, it only works with the PS4 as far as I understand. The Rift is technology about a year ahead of Sony in terms of VR development.

Some of the issues Sony currently have, have since been sorted by the Rift Dev Kit 2. But again they aren't really in direct competition, Rift has the VR market fairly cornered at the moment. Sony is simply attempting to being VR to its PS4 consumers.

The only th...
