Definitely excited to play this, but they just used the god of war name to get this noticed. To me god of war is a button mashing kill fest, this is going the route that reminds of dark souls.

Well Tyler all I can say is I'm not one of those people. I never give a game shit for having issues at launch, it happens.
When did they ever hype up the kraken? Maybe articles did but the developers barely talked about it.
They never hyped up the kraken battles; in fact you had to do some searching or watch just one of the trailers that showed it, so not sure where you got this hype from.

Well that's definitely your opinion but I thought xenoblade chronicles 2 was a horrible game. Voice acting was terrible, characters remind of people from cheesy JRPG's, main character is a dumb ass, and the battle system was an mmo battle engine. I can kinda see why people liked it, but just don't see it as a great game.
So glad the xbox is finally getting some jrpg games. I actually will proly buy most of them just to support them on xbox, but this game is going to be amazing no matter what system.

Not sure why you would call them snobs. Most retro games aren't that great it's just the memories they bring back. They were all we had at the time, now games have gotten bigger and easier to play. Granted there are some good old school games, but most people go back to jrpgs.
