I jumped on the Sony train, but I also loved the N64, and still own a GameCube (mixed feelings on the GC). I'll agree that many fans did seem to turn their back on them with the GameCube, and I think that's what influenced their decision to go so casual this time around, but there are still some of us out there who feel completely abandoned.
At E3 last year, when Reggie said (paraphrase); "What do you mean we ignore the core gamer? We announced Animal Crossing!", I wa...
Agree with him for the most part, except the Nazi Germany bit. Nintendo has morphed into a completely different creature than its former greatness. It's really pitiful, and frankly they can't even stand in the shadow of what they were.
Why change back, though? They're rolling in money right now because like this guy says, they managed to tap the female and elderly markets. Non-gamers are gobbling this thing up at a ridiculous rate, so there's no point in them catering to the ...
...for the low low price of $9.99.
Kidding... maybe...
Just watched Qore myself, and yeah, it was running 3D style real briefly at the end of one of the vids.
Vintage Sessler, vintage X-Play review, love it. I came in here expecting no less than a 5, especially since their #1 game of last-gen was Resident Evil 4. Sessler nailed the outdated mechanics of the game where they stand, unlike every other review I've seen for this game throwing it 9+'s. Kudos on this one X-Play, keep it up.
Don't care about the GTAIV DLC, but it burns my ass that us PS3 owners aren't getting this DLC. Could pass on the Anchorage one, but this looks great, and it's a damn crime that the 3rd pack won't be on all platforms with its +10 level cap and main story expansion. Loved Fallout 3.
People have been pulling the race card on this game since before Obama was even the Democratic nominee.
Yeah, I wanna stick with PlayFire if at all possible.
Loving this game. Going for the weekly 1% right now, currently rank 315. It doesn't even take very long either to rack up enough points to stay afloat in the top 1k - 2k, maybe 3 hours a day if you're half decent. Been scoring anywhere between 300 and 500 points/hour depending on how many times I get the 1.5x win multiplier.
I also discovered that match replay feature on the Killzone site this morning. Pretty damn cool.
This crap has got to stop. The approval system is run by an admin who doesn't check for dupes or quality, and a mob of fanchildren. Gonna approve my article if I say Halo Wars bricked my 360, Bloodmask? Somehow I doubt it.
I need to find a better site for gaming news...
I loved the Killzone 2 campaign.
The hell are you talking about? The "extra lame co-op mode" is what many players and reviewers found to be the best part of the game, including me. Aside from that, I'd agree it was a let down. The campaign wasn't very good at all.
I haven't even noticed the difference.
Seriously, I'm so sick of that phrase. This isn't 2007. Lets catch up with the rest of the world, k?
Can't believe they tried to pass this off as a $20 game.
I think the lack of good JRPG's this gen on any console is disturbing. These days if I wanna play a good JRPG, I've gotta go back to my PS2 and see what Atlus has out. How the mighty Square has fallen since the PS1 days of AAA madness.
My favorite RPG this gen is easily Fallout 3, and I'm not even into WRPGs.
It only shows up during Microsoft conferences at E3 the past 2 years and Microsoft's got the special edition console SKU (Sony has one too, but only in Japan). Who didn't see the exclusive ad rights to the game coming as well? They've obviously had a deal with Capcom since the beginning.
It did remind me of Greenberg belting out multiplats when asked about 2009 360 exclusives in that G4 interview.
As if there aren't really black people who throw spears in Africa. The whole country doesn't look like South Africa you know. Everyone's wound up entirely way too tight for their own good these days.
@ the miniconvo about RE3: It's my 2nd favorite of the series, behind 2. Very underrated in my opinion.
I don't want one. MGS4 ended the series perfectly, leave it alone.
That's one of the reasons why I never visit PSU. When they're not stealing things from everyone else, they're posting stuff about titles which are likely vaporware.
