This is some really ignorant crap. Just because Rockstar shouldn't have to jam a female into their game to appease the perpetually offended, doesn't mean female leads are a bad thing. If it really makes you feel that awkward about your sexuality to play the role of a female in a video game, perhaps you should talk to a professional about that.
Very well said. I'm tired of companies diluting their product out of fear for offending special interest groups. Rockstar wanted to tell a story. It didn't include a female lead. Oh well, maybe next time. They shouldn't have to jam one into their game simply because you and the people inside your little offended bubble need everything to follow the ultra-PC checklist of pseudo-equality.
So a gun registry infringes on "liberty and freedom", but a game registry is a good idea. Classic Fox News.
Been watching this stream on Twitch. They're running the whole campaign.

You're making the mistake of assuming that I care about either of those games. I play arcade racers. Not sims or sim wannabes. All I said was that generally those are the two easiest genres to max. I don't know or care why DC doesn't run at 60 FPS (assuming it doesn't, I haven't got a clue if you're even right about that), but I would assume it has a lot more going on than Forza does if it has a significantly lower framerate.
They are easy to max. Even easier if you have nothing going on in the background.
Those are definitely the two easiest genres to max frames with. Even on my janky mid-range graphics card I can hit a locked 60 in fighters and racers easy.
Good point. I guess I don't really think about the final number that much. I just saw a knock against the game in the form of a silly personal agenda. She could have dropped it several points like that person at Polygon who reviewed Dragon's Crown with a similar agenda.
Yeesh. If those are all completely explorable and open sandboxes, that doesn't seem like it would be very fun.
Game was ok. The dialogue was awful, though. I like a good dick joke. Too bad Bulletstorm had none.
Yep. Just saying, big ass map.
I think Just Cause 2 still probably has the biggest sandbox map. It's almost big to a fault. I haven't tried it myself, but I wouldn't be surprised if it took longer than 6 minutes to fly from one corner to the other in a jet, let alone trying to drive it.
Meh. She obviously has an agenda and doesn't have any interest in objectively reviewing the game, but I don't think she's worth a petition to be fired. Just stop visiting GameSpot if it bothers you that much. Why would you be there in the first place?
That sounds about right. I 100%'d GTAIV on both consoles and the most significant difference was more pop-in on 360. Not surprised the pop-in is worse again.
Hyperbole Academy.
Gonna happen. Rockstar lathers their games in 3rd party DRM out of unnecessary fear of piracy. It's no surprise that they're delaying the PC launch to sell as much as possible on consoles first, before they act shocked about selling millions more on PC. Might also have to do with GFWL collapsing, and them having to transition over to Steamworks (and hopefully not something else) for the online architecture.
It will also likely come to PS4/bone in 2014.
Microsoft is the death of gaming. Dunno how else to put it.
An actual debate might, but not the reactionary offended echo chamber we have now. Shouting "GTAV IS MISOGYNISTIC FOR NOT HAVING FEMALE LEADS" and claiming anyone who disagrees is a sexist, isn't helping anyone. It just generates resentment against those people and their tactless opinions.
$20? I've had these for a couple weeks now, free.
I'd say it is, if we're not counting anything before 3. I'm not a huge fan of the originals, and I'd much rather play IV than either of them.
