It probably will drop over time but no way it drops all the way to 8%. The significance is that it shows Blu-Ray's upward trend and let's not forget that the adoption rate in Japan is almost at 50%, so they have already accepted Blu Ray as the future format, it's only a matter of time before it happens in the EU and in NA. I can't see how 25-30% Blu-ray is not impressive.
The point is that 25-30% of those sales were BLU RAY, which is the highest market share for a Blu-Ray movie to take from DVD, which shows significant progress for the format and shows that people are willing to spend more on something even in bad economic times.
HD-DVD players were all cheaper than Blu-Ray and yet Blu-Ray consistently outsold HD-DVD, so the consumer is not fooled by cheaper prices all the time
the "experts" might not think Blu Ray is going anywhere but the consumer says otherwise!
That could be because you have an LCD, image ghosting happens on an LCD in fast paced sequences in games and movies
it's selling for $23.99.
Wait, I thought Blu-ray was pointless and was never gonna catch on?
I wonder how many D.D. copies of this movie sold...
Also, Chimera didn't invade Earth, they were created by Russian experiments...This guy has no clue about the game.
THEY SCORED IT LOWER THAN LEGENDARY! WOW!
It's obvious this person didnt play beyond the SP campaign. the MP and CO-OP alone justify this game, what a load of crap. How do they let people like this review the game??? "The first one sold because of the cathederal news???" It's obvious this guy is very biased.
No Resistance?? Prince of Persia??
It clearly states "A NEXT METAL GEAR" a MGS4 port IS NOT A NEXT METAL GEAR, and they seem to have purposely left out SOLID because this is going to be a METAL GEAR ACID TITLE FOR THE IPHONE, how can they say the rumor is somewhat likely??? USE COMMON SENSE
a NEXT Metal GEAR, MGS4 on the 360 isnt the NEXT METAL GEAR. I find it curious that they left out Solid and it just says next Metal Gear, which makes me lean towards it being a Metal Gear Acid title
I understand but, the whole point is that BTB(blacker than black) and WTW(whiter than white) is completely cut off in full RGB so no matter how much re-calibration you do you're still losing about 12% of the color if you're using full RGB on an incompatible TV. Any movie should not be using RGB at all and games, I believe the games developers program in mind knowing the games will be played on a TV with video levels and not PC.
Yeah jerkoff it does look better than that, maybe I know how to properly calibrate my tv and settings instead of blindly following videos online and making judgements based on that, please move on I'm not getting caught up in stupid fanboy wars.
Full RGB might give the illusion of a better picture but it's actually crushing blacks if you are using it on most HDTV's. The full level was established for PC monitors hooked up with DVI that are expecting PC levels (0-255) as opposed to video levels (16-235). The result ends up being you lose detail in full rgb in the dark areas and shadows if you use Full RGB when the TV(most with HDMI connections) is expecting video levels
It doesn't look anywhere near that.
My game doesnt look like that so weird, maybe they don't calibrate the TV properly for both systems since the settings are different. I use RGB limited(which most HDTV's should be using) RGB full is only for PC monitors usually hooked up through DVI and the game still doesn't look like that, maybe they are using component cables? the picture looks so damn soft
December 5th(tomorrow)
So what's the point of having any 3rd party exclusives, shouldn't all companies be thinking like that? Make the game the most profitable?
