I've only seen unreal engine 3 used well 4 times and 3 of those games are made by Epic (Gears 1/2, UT3) the other one being Bioshock. Every other developer that's used UE3, the game has been pretty disastrous.
PS3 was outselling 360 worldwide until they dropped the price in EU and NA in September. Since then 360 has erased all deficits and posted gains over the PS3. It was a smart move by MS cutting prices right before the holidays, when most of the console sales are made, just like what the PS3 did in 2007.
Can someone list the top 10, the website is blocked from my office.
I really hope it's another FF7
Western RPGs have destroyed anything Square on next gen consoles so far. Last Remnant was a joke, I'm not expecting FF13 to be anything great either but hopefully I'm wrong
Not a single mention of MGS4, Gears of War 2? Unbelievable.
Im gonna say GTA4
The system is still selling so realistically they don't have to release anything.
The DLC is coming to both PC/360, also @ above, most multi-plat games are now being developed for PS3 and being coded for 360 after, not because of install base and sales but because developers have found it easier to develop for the harder platform first and bring it over to the 360 for an even gaming experience rather than code it for the 360 first then port it over to the PS3. We all know how that's worked out for the PS3 in the past.
I'm surprised, the games been out for a while.
DLC definitely #1, you buy a game at full price only to be offered something so small that it couldve easily been put onto the original game and then they charge you extra for it. Exclusive DLC is even worse on multi-platform games, I mean come on if a game is released on more than 1 platform, so should the DLC. The primary reason a multi-plat game is released is to make the most possible profit, shouldnt it be the same case with the DLC? Especially if it's something significant (GTA4, Fallou...
Early on the enemies are tough but once you start getting newer weapons and armor and leveling up the enemies are a joke. I'm at level 9 now I can kill those stupid animals with 1 or 2 shots.
In the same sentence? Is this a joke? They won't dominate anything if they keep releasing the same "quality" games they have been the past 2 years.
Anyone who hasn't played this owes it to themselves to get this game.
All 3 are over a Million,LBP being a new IP outsold Dead Space, Prince of Persia and Mirrors Edge, all multi-platform games.
Oh god, not another one of the these "articles". How bitter are the HD-DVD crowd?
Yeah they were a lot better(aside from DMC2), that's why I was saying that DMC4 did little to innovate the series aside from graphics, probably even took a step back from DMC3 which looks like what RE5 is doing, virtually on par with RE4.
It looks like Resident Evil 4 HD, they didn't seem to innovate anything here, just like with DMC4, which was DMC in HD. How is it that when you aim your weapon you can't move?? I thought they would've learned from the last Resident Evil and changed that. Dead Space has set the bar and I don't think RE5 will surpass it, only visually I believe.
He takes everything positive about Blu Ray and spins it into a negative, how can one be objective about something when it's so obvious they want it to fail. Also I find it funny he doesnt mention the movie that helped propel DVD into mainstream, The Matrix, had nowhere near the sales numbers of The Dark Knight Blu Ray and failed to mention the penetration by Blu Ray into DVD market share has been much faster than DVD to VHS, but like I said someone who wants something to fail can't ever be ob...
Why do we keep doing this? I think most non-fanboys know Blu Ray is doing well and really picking up steam, I don't think we need all these pro Blu Ray articles just to counteract the negative ones. The negatives ones are just blogs of peoples opinions, probably bitter HD-DVD fanboys.
